If you live ten years and buy all your booze from your wife, and die in your boots from the snakes, your widow will have $27,085.37 on deposit, enough to bury you properly, bring up the children, pay off the mortgage on the house, marry a decent man, and forget she ever knew you! Os course, anyone smart enough to do this, is probably going to be too smart to drink that much anyway. Or, some husbands will undoubtedly, excuse themselves and continue drinking away from home, saying that their wife is the cause of their drinking anyway. And worse, you may not just die of overdrinking — you may linger on with some horrible ailment that is worse than death, and which eats up all the money you have saved by buying your drinks from the missus! The moral is — don’t be such a creature of habit — whether it is drinking, or smoking, or whatever — that it interferes with your life, because there is no easy solution to your problem except changing — totally, permanently, unconditionally — your habits.

Allen County Han Is Held For Rape The Oct. 7 rape of e 14-year-old Bluffton girl, the Oct. 36 rape of a DeKalb county lA-year-old girl, and the molesting oi two 11-year-old Kendallvllle girls on July 17 and Oct. 26, have apparently been solved by the arrest of a 31-year-old Allen county man. Frederick W. Brown, of route 10, Fort Wayne, was charged in Wells juvenile court with rape, and bond was set at 620,000. He had previously been charged with rape in Allen county with 66.000 bond set, and forceable kidnaping in DeKalb county, with a 65,000 bond. } There Is a strong possibility that the arrest will dear up other cases in the area. Two Are Sentenced On Astault Charges A WlHshJre. 0., and a Chattanooga, 0., man, both indicated by an Ohio grand Jury for assault and battery following a Sept 5 argument over money, were each given a partially suspended sentence and five years probation. Elhaaaoa Hurt,4B, of Wiltshire, 0., who assaulted Harold Green with a knife, and Paul Begley, 42, who assaulted Virgil Hurt with a rifle and automobile, had three months of a six-month sentence suspended, provided they have no further violations, do not drink intoxicating liquors, and report regularly to the probation officer. Begley, whose offense was not aggravated, since the rifle wasn’t loaded, will serve weekends, from 1 p.m. Sunday until Monday, concluding his term Jan. 4. Hurt will serve three months.
