week approved several sweeping rcvisioins in parking regulations for the city’s business district. An ordinance outlining the revisions was passed by the council and will be in effect after it has been legally advertised twice.
After the second publication of the resolution, two-hour parking will be in effect between the hours of 6 a m. and 6 p.m. on the following Berne streets: Hendricks street, from Main to Franklin Fulton street, from Main to Water; Behring street, from Main to Water; Water street, from Jefferson to the first alley west of Jefferson. The ordinance will not be in effect on Sundays and holidays. The present two-hour parking regulation on Main and Jefferson streets throughout the business district will remain in effect. The new ordinance will also eliminate angle parking on Hendrfcks street from Main to Franklin; Jefferson stret, from Water street to Franklin; and on the west side of Sprunger street, from Main to Water. These zones will be converted to parallel parking. Angle parking will still be in effect on the east side of Sprunger street, from Water to Main. Krueckeberg, executive vice president of the First State Bank of Decatur, has been named to the legal affairs committee of the Indiana bankers association, Rolland H. Neese of Franklin, committee chairman, announced today. The legal affairs committee is active during legislative sessions, and is the largest committee in the association. Its chairman, who is president of the Union Bank & Trust. Reports Bicycle Stolen From Rack Mark Seeger, of 512 Limberlost Trail, reported to the city police Thursday afternoon the theft of his bicycle. He said the bicycle, a boy’s 26inch, bljck in color, was stolen f.om the bicycle rack at the Decatur high school building, and was valued at $25. Tool Shed, Contents Destroyed By Fire A tool shed at the Adams county farm home of Marvin Brown, of Monroeville route 2, was destroyed by fire shortly before noon Thursday. The building contained a tractor and implements, which were destroyed, witn tuuu loos estimated at $3,500. Dick Girardot, chiet of the Monroeville fire department, said a quonset hut near the tool shed was damaged but firemen were able to save it.
