Candelabra, palms and pew bows decorated the Mount Pleasant church where the Rev. Donald Orr Bluffton, officiated the double ring ceremony which joined in marriage Miss Marsha June King and Noel Edward Hunt at 2 p.m., Sunday. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Leo H. King, Jr.i route 1, and Mr. and Mrs. Byron Hunt, -route 1, Amboy. o Dorothy Fuhrman, pianist, played selections of “O Promise Me,” “Indiana Love Call,” and “Perfect Love.” Elaine Willie, soloist, sang “Because,” “Wedding Praytr,” and “I Love You Truly.” The bride was escorted to the altar in a gown of white rochelle lace and nylon tulle. The fitted lace bodice was fashioned with a scalloped square neckline touched wi h irridescent sequins and long lace sleeves tapered to pointe over her hands. Locals Mr. and Mrs. Gene Nix, of Kalamazoo, Mich., spent the weekend in Decatur visiting with friends. The Nixes formerly resided here. Zeke Evans, well-known local timber buyer, is improving slowly from a heart attack suffered recently. He is a patient in room 347 Ada m 3 county memorial hospital, and would appreciate cards from all his friends. Hie children include Mrs. Melvin Baumgartner Mrs Robert Witham, and Edward Evans. A reception was held at the Youth and Community Center at 3 p.m. for 250 guests. The gift table was decorated with bows and white wedding bells. The serving table was centered with the wedding cake with wedding bells. Serving at the reception were Kay Daugherty, Sue McCullough, Carolyn Grommer, Janis Sprunger, Christie Shaffer, Mrs. Barbara Fox and Mrs. Barbara Wolfe. Susan Small registered the guests. For the wedding trip of anannounced destination the bride chose a deep rose two-piece suit with black suede accessories and the orchid from her bridal bouquet. The bride is a graduate of Monmouth high school and attended Taylor University and International Business College. She is employed at CTS of Berne. Miss Linda Lou Rayl, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thurman Rayl, route 6, became the bride of Merlin Keith Hedington, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hedington, route 1, Monroe; in a double ring ceremony Saturday at 6:30 p.m. The Rev. Joseph Gibson ofat the ..wedding ; which took place in the Pleasant Mills Methodist church, decorated with palms", ferns, candelabra ana a .fall, basket of mums. * Vocalists were Thomas Suman and Michael Suman and the organist was Miss Judy Hakes. They presented selections of “Oh,.Promise Me,” and “God Gave Me You.” Hie bride, given in marriage by her father, selected a gown of chantilly lace and peau de soie. The scalloped lace bodice, lit with delicate sequins and seed pearls, featured long sleeves that ended in bridal points over her hands. From the pointed waistline flared a bouffant skirt from which a peau de soie bow and panel fell dramatically to the hem. Her fingertip veil of pure silk illusion was held by a double Swedish crown of pearls and crystals. She carried a bouquet of white fugi mums centered with red roses. Miss Madeline Hedington, sister of the groom, was maid of honor, and Miss Patricia Workinger, friend of the bride, served as bridesmaid. They wore gowns of royal blue velvet that featured round fitted bodices with softly pleated floor length skirts which were accented by a small bow at the back waistline. They wore matching pill box hats and carried arrangements of white fugi mums. Miss Kathy Jane Strahm was flower girl in a dress styled similar to those worn by the attendants She wore a matching headpiece and carried a basket of fugi mums. Vernon Hedington was best man and Luther Hedington was grooms man. Seating the guests were Dan Michaels, David Suman, Dale , Yoder, and Larry Hoffman. Ring-

Serving at the reception were the Misses Judy Myers, Jane Girod and Teresa Heimann, and the Mesdames Glen Yager and Robert Troxel. Miss Cynthia Hurst registered the guests and gifts. For a wedding trip of unnounced destination, the bride chose a three piece knit suit with brown accessories. The bride is a graduate of Adams Central high school and the groom, also a graduate of Adams Central high school, is employed by the Berne Furniture company, Berne. . EVEBBEADY CLAM MEETS IN CHURCH LOUNGE The Everready Sunday school class of the Methodist church held the November meeting in the church lounge. The devotional leader, Mrs. Harry Sipe, used "Thanks” as her theme. She read the article, "Grateful Hearts," which was used in regard to the Pilgrims who celebrated their first Thanksgiving day in 1«21. Mrs. W. P. Robinson, president, presided over the business session. The secretary read the minutes of the October rneeting. During the roll call 15 ' members answered. Mrs. Robinson announced the December meeting would be in her home at 6 p.m. There will be a 50-cent gift exchange. Hostesses for the November meeting were Mrs. William Barber, Mrs. N. A.
