ween weekend, With no traffic accidents and not as much vandalism as in recent years. The only vandalism in the city was actually a theft, as Harvey Smith, of Monroe, reported a pair of fender skirts stolen from his 1964 model car while it was parked at Jackson and First streets. The theft occurred while Smith was observing the Halloween parade Saturday night. Sheriff Roger Singleton sail the county had little vandalism, with most of what did occur happening in the southern part of the county, where there were cases of rock throwing, etc., and a couple of outside rest rooms tipped over. Also, someone scattered a lot of paper along the road that leads to Sadie Lake in an area of about a quarter mile. This incident was believed to have happened Saturday.
