A native ot Adams county, she was born Oct. 22, 1870 in Jefferson township, the daughter of John and Mary Harden. She was married in 1888 to Peter Minch, .who died in 1939. Eight of her twelve children are still living. Two of her sons, "Charles and Mathias, are residents of Decatur. The head of five generations, she has 15 grandchildren and 25 great, grandchildren.—(Photo by Mac Lean)
