Second Suspended Sentence Ordered Elmer Mann, 42-year-old resident of Geneva, received hie second suspended sentence of six months since July in city court this morning. Mann was arrested by Geneva town marshal Saturday night on a charge of public intoxication. In court today, he was fined $lO and costs, totaling S3O, and given a sixmonths suspended sentence. Less than three months ago, on July 27, Mann was given another suspended sentence in city court here. At that time, he was fined $lO and costs and given six months in jail, with all but 30 days suspended. City Judge John Stults presided in court this morning.

Attempt To Avoid Turkey Causes Wreck Roger Beer, 20, route 2, Berne, unsuccessfully attempted to avoid a turkey on a county road near Berne Tuesday evening, and is cost him approximately $l5O in damages to his automobile. Beer was northbound on county road 36, at 6:55 p.m., one-half mile south and two miles west of Berne, when the turkey sauntered out into the path of hie vehicle. Beer swerved to avoid missing the turkey, but hit it, and his car then left the road on the left side, receiving the damages. The turkey was owned by the Berne Hiway Hatchery. Deputy sheriff Warren Kneuss investigated.
