Friedt Elected To Angus Association Kenneth W. Friedt, Decatur, has been elected to membership in the American Angus association at St. Joseph, Mo., announces Glen Bratcher, secretary. This membership was one of 495 issued to breeders of registered Aberdeen - Angus in the United States during the past month.

Fine Is Suspended, Ordered To Leave George Christianson, 48, a resident of Adams St., was fined $lO and costs and received a six months sentence in city court this morning, for public intoxica tfon. The sentence and all but $1 of the fine and costs were suspended, however, providing Christianson leave town, which he was reported to have done at 11 a.m. today. The former Bluffton man was arrested by the city police at 6:10 p.m. Thursday on N. Second St., and charged with public intoxication by the city police. Charges Driving Without License Gladys Marie Busick, 20, of route 3, Decatur, was arrested by the city police at 11:15 a m. Wednesday for driving without a valid operator’s license. She was arrested on 13th street and cited into justice of the peace court. Are Fined On Traffic Charges Several local drivers have paid fines of 11 and costs, amounting to $18.75 each, in justice of the peace court. Paying the $1 and roots fln"s were the following: William H. Witte, 18, of Fort Wayne, arrested for speeding on Aug. 30: Roger A. Spencer, 20, of Preble, charged on Aug. 30 with speeding; Edward Franklin Shoe, 75, 419 Grant St., arrested for reckless driving on Aug. 16; Raluh Lawson, 73. of 203 S. 11th St., charged with speeding on Aug. 27; David Ervin Fuelling, 24, route 3, Decatur, arrested on a speeding charge on Aug. 27: and Raymond W. Seitz, 32, of Daea-~ tur, charged with following too close after an accident in June. Michael Schoen Ellenberger, 24, of 133 S. Tenth St., was fined $lO and costs, $27.75, on n charge of speeding, filed against him on August 27. To Hear Objection Over Wage Scales An objection over wage scales at the Adams county highway garage is to be reviewed by the county commissioners at their meeting Monday. The objection has been entered by several highway department employes. Max Myers Cited For Failure To Pay Max Myers of route 8, Decatur, is one of three persons against whom affidavits for failure to pay parking meter fines have been filed in city court, and not May Myers, as was erronously stated in Thursday’s Daily Democrat. One count each of failure to pay parking violations was filed against Max Myers and Sara Philpot, 318 S. 13th., and three counts of failure to pay were filed against George R. Elmer Lehman Is Reported Improved Elmer Lehman, an employe of Reidenbach equipment company, k) in satisfactory condition in Adams county memorial hospital where he was taken Tuesday after he wtfs struck by a tractor in a demonstration on a farm near Rockford, 0., Wednesday.
