Arriving nonstop from Air Force bases on the mainland were F-100 Super Sabre and F-105 Thunderchief jet fighters, RF-101 Voodoo jet reconnaissance fighters. KC-135 refueling tankers and C-13C Hercules transports. Flight distances during the move to Hawaii averaged 3.000 to 5.000 miles.
