Jesus lived on this highest level and so may we.. In the maddening maze of modern life, this living above the commonplace is the only real basis of hope, comfort and peace. On such a level one is untouched by life’s devastating and destructive experiences. Jesus said, “If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto me. "The church proclaims Christ’s teachings as they apply so our modern life. Be truly adhearing to these principles we can attain a mountain-top level of living where we will be most effective. WHY NOT ACCEPT THE INVITATION AND COME TO CHURCH NEXT SUNDAY? Mamy people instead of trying to keep their lives clean seek to cover them over, to paint the walls of their living, is it were, and this is a fallacious proceedure. Life must be made clean from within, not camouflaged from without. WIT AND WISDOM Driving in the country one day, a man saw an old fellow sitting on a fence rail watching the automobiles go by. Stopping to talk, the traveler said, “I never could stand living out here. You don’t see anything. You don’t travel like I do. I’m going all the time.” The old man on the since looked down at the stranger and then drawled, “I can’t see much difference in what I’m doing and what you’re doing. I set on the fence and watch the autos go by and you set in your auto and watch the fences go by. It’s just the way yon look at things."

A HAPPY HOME Some youngsters these days say, “I want my independence and I am going to get it no matter what.” That “no matter” may include indifference, rudeness or even downright cruelty. Such youngsters mistake boldness for maturity and they venfuse aggressiveness with being grown up. Being grown up does mean being assertive and forceful, but not under all circumstances or with all people. Parents often become efcsy targets for resentments and frustrations the youngsters are Experiencing with problems of living, such as making friends, being popular, sex conflicts, school responsibilities, grades. This is natural, but parents should not tolerate rudeness and should give guidance and insist that certain behavior will not be tolerated. Dtsctpiine is important in the development of youngsters and lack of it is a great debit to them as even young people themselves realize. In a recent , poll of 100,600 high school students by Purdue university, it was found that 93,913 of them thought their parents were not strict enough and that they need and expect the moral direction and spiritual guidance which every parent owes his child.
