We lose our way. What is the pathway back when courage is gone? The first step is to realize that courage is an inner spiritual quality — the result of a certain way of being. This way of being is a conviction that if one seeks earnestly to do God’s will, he will be given adequate strength and understanding to deal with any situation, to meet any problem or difficulty, knowing that he need never face anything in life alone, but may always have God’s help. When we walk the way of life with God. we have no fear. A HAPPY HOME Emotional injuries in the form of psychological shocks often have a deep and more lasting illeffect than psysical blows, particularly where children are concerned. When they are taunted, called names, teased cruelly, the personality of children and their mental outlook may become disfigured. Unkindness can injure people. Most people do not mean to be unkind or discourteous, but if they are sick or tired or worried, they may unthinkingly say things that truly hurt whether they really mean them or not. ’ Envy can mar one’s personality too. An envious person acts as though someone had cheated him out of something another enjovs. Envoy clouds the mind and warps sound reasoning. Jealousy too promotes unhappiness destroys confidence and leads to misunderstandings. People can of tenmake others feel inferior by unduly' critizing them, ridiculing their efforts, and thus deflating their ego. All of things can turn calm emotions into heart aches and destroy the peace of mind of the individual and the sernity of the home. -

The Church Invites You Many people Interpret devbtion to country in terms of politics and patriotism —a superficial view since it fails to penetrate our country’s deepest need. The real basis of devotion to country is devotion to God. Since true devotion is the quality which gives a nation strength, loyalty to its principles, its ideals, its destiny, and since the relationship which insures the permanence of them is the spirit of God in the lives of the people, this concept is selfrevident. Our Founding Fathers recognized this in their choice of “In God we trust” as our motto. This devotion in which is our strength is a quality which exists in the nation because it is in the lives of its citizens and places the matter of national strength in the lives of its individual citizens. The church is God’s house where we may show devotion to Him by our worship. WHY NOT ACCEPT THE INVITATION AND COME TO CHURCH NEXT SUNDAY?
