marriage of Miss Kay Frances Scherry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Layke Scherry, route 2, and D. Randolf Thomas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Thomas, route 4, Muncie. An altar bedecked with greenery, palms and candelabra served as a backdrop for the Rev. Robert Oleson to officiate for the evening double ring ceremony. ““’“Organist Chester Longenberger and vocalist Dr. Freeman Burkhalter provided traditional wedding selections including “Bev' cause,” “To Each The Other” and “Wedding Prayer.” Given in marriage by her father, the bride appeared in a floor ’ length gown of embroidered silk organza over satin. The fitted bodice featured a scalloped portrait neckline and long sleeves which came to points over her hands. Births At the Adams county memorial hospital: Kenneth and Barbara Burdg Wolfe, 257 Park Place, are the parents of a 8 lb., 14 oz., baby girl born, at 1:34 p.m., Saturday.James and Arlene Habegger Mast, Berne, are the parents of a 6 lb., baby girl born at 3:45 p.m., Sunday. length veil was caught to a tiara of tiny nylon petals accented with seed pearls. She carried a cascade arangement of white amazon lilies with lavender frenched carnations and eucalyptus foliage. * Miss Carol Batz of Indianapolis was maid of honor. She wore a lavender sheath dress of silk a’lore, styled with an obi sash at the waistline. The bodice featured a scooped neckline and short sieves. As a headpiece she ‘ wore a hat of pale* lavender roses edged in white. She carried an arrangement of la vender, purple and white mums centered with a lit candle. Miss Barbara Williams was. bridesmaid; Miss Marilyn Thomas, junior bridesmaid; and Miss Michelle Osterman, flower girl. They were attired identical to the honored attendant. The flower girl carried a basket of lavender petals. Montv Thomas served as best man and Jerry Kilty; Howard Williams and Eric Thomas were ushers. Tommy Avila was ring bearer. Mrs. Scherry chose a light pink dacron and white lace dress with and white accessories for her "daughter’s wedding. Mrs. Thomas wore a blue silk linen dress with blue and white accessories. Each mother wore a corsage of amazon lilies. Following the ceremony, a re»-, ception was held at the church for 250 guests. Serving the guests were Mrs. Ronald Kessler, Mrs. Roger Jordan, Mrs. Avon Zimmerman and Miss Phyllis Speicher For an unannounced wedding trip, the new Mrs. Thomas was wearing a powder blue dacron dress, trimmed in white lac e, white accessories and a corsage of white amazon lilies. The bride is a graduate of Berne high school and Ball State Teachers College. She teaches English and Spanish in Selma. The bridegroom is a graduate of Cowan high school and is tool and die apprentice at the City Machine Tool and Die in Muncie. Following their wedding trip, thq couple will reside at 3707 East Jackson, Muncie.

A center arrangement of white gladioli and yellow snowflake mums, greenery and candelabra adonred the altar of the First Mennonite church for the wedding of Miss Janice Elaine Lantz, daughter of Mr. Dale Lantz, of Berne, and the late Mrs. Lantz, and Kenneth Lawrence Stover, son of the Rev. and Mrs. Ken- . neth Stoyer v 0, The. Rev. . Gordon Neuenschwander and the Rev. Kenneth Stover officiated for the evening double ring ceremony. Organist Mrs. Leland Neuen accompanied soloists Mrs. Chester Beitler and Fred Stauffer. Musical selections included “Clair de Lune,” “Wedding Bells,” “My Heart Ever Faithful,” “Sheep May Safely Graze,” "Entreat Me Not To Leave Thee,” “I Love Thee,” “O Lord Most High,” and Escorted, to the altar by her father, Miss Lantz appeared in a gown of ivory imported silk faced peau and re-embroidered alencon lace. The. fitted bodice of ivory peau featured a bateau neckline and elbow length sleeves, A wide band of alencon lace, sprinkled with seed pearls, circled the waistline and was repeated on the elbow length sleeves. Ivory silk faced peau formed the slim A- * line skirt. Unpressed pleats created soft folds from the back of the waistline of the skirt that fell gently to a court tr&in. Her very full waist length veil of ivory peau and alencon lace, outlined with ivory pearls. She carried a bouquet of phaleonopsis orchids, yellow snowflake mums and trailing English ivy. Miss Virginia Kae Lantz, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. She wore a floor length dress of antique gold rayon peau. The fitted bodice was styled with a shelled-out neckline and brief sleeves. A tailored bow detailed the front of the waistline. Rayon peau formed the slim'floor length skirt and a full watteau panel floated gracefully down from the baclc of the neckline to the floor.' She wore a matching antique gold ,
tiara of tulle butterfly wings accented with crystal beads and a. bouffant veil. She carried a bouquet of light yellow mums and English ivy.- Miss Jane. Stover, sister of the groom, Mrs. Bruce Stauffer, and Mrs. Bob Suter ' were bridesmaids and Miss Mary Stover, sister of the groom was junior bridesmaid. They! wereattired identical to the honor attendant. Samuel brother of the groom, served as best man, and Bob Raber, Roger Duffer John brother of the groom, and Richard Lantz, brother of the bride, were ushers. Mrs. Stover chose an aqua lace over taffeta two piece dress with white accessories and an orchid corsage. Immediately following the ceremony; a reception was held in the church patio Serving at the jreception were Misses Barbara Baumgartner, Sue Sprunger, Barb Van Orsdall, Judy Bower. Ann McCune and Mrs. Roger. Duffer. For a wedding trip to the east, the new Mrs. Stover chose a willow green knit shift dress with black patent accessories and Ihe orchid corsage from her bridal bouquet. 6 * The bride is a graduate of Berne high school and Bluffton College. For the past year, she has taught third grade in the Berne school. The groom is a graduate of Libbey high school and Bluffton College. He is going on to graduate school at Ohio State in chemistry. Branigin said the question reminded him of a similar circumstance when he was asked what chances a fellow who was running for office had.
