He was first empolyed in the punch press section where he worked for about a year, and since that time has been a drill press operator. Shackley and hie wife are currently enjoying a four-week vacation. Geneva Teacher To Hawaiian Islands Mrs. Gladys Houser, of Bryant, first grade teacher at Geneva, is one of IB Ball State Teachers College graduates who left Muncie this week with Dr. Robert HCooper, head of die Ball State science department, for fiveweek concentrated study of the Hawaiian Islands. This tour is a study of the natural science of the islands, but will also include the customs, legends, commerce and industry of Hawaii groups as they travel by motor launch, by coach and automobile to pineapple plantations sugar cane fields, coral reefs, and the volcano area. Sudduth Family Hit Bv Various Illnesses The La Vaughn Sudduth family of Decatur has been hard-hit this last week with sick grandchildren suffering from mumps, measles and chicken pox, it was learned today. First Debbie, 9, and Bobbie, 7, children of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sudduth, got the mumps; then Terry, 2, daughter. of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sudduth, got the measles, and now Joe Roman, 2, dough ter of Roy -and Carolyn Sudduth Roman, is believed to have the chicken pox. . All four are grandchildren of 1 Mrs. LaVaughn Sudduth of 1110 ; Elm street, and the late Ted J. ! Sudduth.
