Hockemeyer, route 2, Monroeville, are announcing the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Marilyn Louise, to Otis LeWis Zellers, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Otis Zellers, 2711 Sandpoint Road, Fort Wayne. Miss Hockemeyer, a graduate of Madison-Marton Consolidated high school, is employed by the Lincoln National Life Insurance company. Zellers, a graduate of Elmhurst, is employed by Earth Construction. . An October wedding is being planned *by the couple to take place at the St. John’s Lutheran church, Monroeville.

He was ticketed by city police for not having a valid' operator's license, as his had expired in May. The crash occurred as McCol- — lum was southbound on Mercer Ave. As car crossed the FrieLackawanna railroad tracks, it went out of control, and skidded into the light pole head-on. Officers estimated damage to McCollum’s car at WOO fallowing the 6:45 p. m.’ crash, and light pole damage at 1300.

Mrs. Gordon Adams, book re. viewer and wife of a Fort Wayne interior decorator, will narrate the program. The event will feature modeling of wedding gowns from 1850 to 1963. Many of the gowns to be seen belong to association members. Mrs. James Burk, Mrs. J. F. Sanmann and Mrs. Ed Hagan will serve as event co-chairmen. Mrs. John Spaulding, Mrs. Chalmer Deßolt, Mrs. Otto Beehler and Mrs. M. A.” Frisinger are in charge of refreshments. Mrs. Russell Freed will design prje grams for the event, which is being held in the First Presbyterian church. Music will be under the direction of Mrs. James Robinson and Miss Sharon Adams, daughter of the speaker. The Sjt. Mary’s Catholic church was the scene of the double ring ceremony which united in marriage Miss Betty Kay Schultz and Daniel James Meyer this morning at 10 o’clock. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Simeon Schmitt officiated the vows before an altar bedecked with roses and orange blossoms. The nuptial mass was provided by the men’s choir, with Mrs. John Girard as organist. The bride, who was escorted to the altar by her father, appeared in a gown of white imported chantilly lace and rayon organza over taffeta. line, sprinkled with iridescent sequins and seed pearls. Long lace sleeves tapered to points over her hands. The very full skirt of organza was detailed by a lace edged front panel, caught up at the waistline by an organza rose. Lace edged organza ruffles cascaded to a full chapel length train. Her veil of silk illusion was held in place by a tiara of seed pearls and sequins, and she carried a bouquet of red roses surrounded by white pompoms. Miss Janet Meyer, sister of the ' groom, served as maid of honor in a gown of chiffon over taffeta. The gown was styled with elbow length puff sleeves and a full pleated skirt. A large bow trimmed the back waistline. Her headpiece was a crown of blue sequins and pearls on petals made of blue chiffon with a matching veil. She carried a white basket of blue pompoms. The bridesmaids, the Misses Patricia and Joyce Braun, sisters of the bride, and Miss Diana Heimann, the bride’s cousin, were ‘attired identically to ■’the maid of honor Edward Schultz, brother of the bride, served as best man, and Glen Wilder, brother-in-law of the bride, and John Meyer, the groom’s brother, served as ushers. with matching ..accessories and a corsage of white pompoms. Mrs. Meyer, the groom's mother, chose a blue lace dress with matching accessories. She wore a corsage of white pompoms. Following the wedding a dinner was held at the Moose home for 35 guests. This afternoon from 2:30 to 5 o’clock, a reception for 275 guests will be held at the Moose home. Lighted candles, surrounded by violets and peonies, will decorate the serving table. Serving the guests will be the Misses Mary Lou Geimer, Kathryn Faurote, Susie Braun, Sharon Miller, Ruth Ann Braun and Ruth Ann Lichtle. For a wedding trip to New York, the new Mrs. Meyer will wear a beige sleeveless dress of lace over taffeta styled with a high neck line and white accessories. Parents of the couple are Mr. Mrs. Jerome Braun and Mr. and Mrs. John E- Meyer, all of route 4. The new Mrs. Meyer is a Decatur Catholic high school graduate and is employed at Teeples Truck Lines. The groom, also a graduate of Decatur Catholic high school, is employed with Hagerman’s Construction company. The couple will make their new home on route 4.
