Laundry Installed Al Trailer Park Oakhurst trailer court, located four and a half miles east of Decatur on the airport road, south of U.S. 224, has completed construction of a coin-operated laundry at the site of the trailer park. Court owners Thomas and Daisy Hurst recently constructed the building to house 10 Frigidaire washing machines and four Cissell dryers. Soft water has been provided for the washers and the laundry will be open 24 hours a day. The Hursts expressed the fact that the laundry is open to the public and not exclusively for just the residents of the trailer court. Change for the machines may be obtained at the Office. The Hursts started the trailer court two years ago, and since that time it has grown considerably. The park now has 15 trailer homes located there and 10 more spaces are under construction for further expansion. The lots are 50 by 80 feet and h ;ave an 8 by 25 foot patio and U by 45 foot runways. Death Toll Os Over 410 Is Predicted By United Press International Millions of Americans who yet remember world wars and distant fields of battle prepared today for the start of a Memorial Day weekend made especially meaningful by the passing of President John F. Kennedy and Gen. Douglas A. MacArthur. Military parades and homage to the nation's war dead were the order of the weekend, but fishing trips, beach parties and sporting events also were on the schedule. The National Safety Council predicted the death toll on the country's streets and highways alone would fall between 410 and 490 from 6 p.m. local time today until midnight Sunday. Thousands will be injured and scores more will die in swimming and boating accidents and other mishaps. More than 50,000 Americans were expected to pay their own private homage to the late President by visiting his grave in Arlington National Cemetery on Memorial Day. MacArthur will be honored in countless military parades and observances. The graves of thousands of fallen veterans, doughboys and GI Joes who fought for their country on numberless battle fields, will also be visited by their famUies Memorial Day. Major league baseball doubleheaders and the famed 500-mile auto race at Indianapolis will lure thousands from their homes. Others will head for their first weekend at the beach or angle for muskie and walleye on quiet lakes. 0

ROBERT GATES, 4th district chairman and favorite son candidate for governor, says old-fashioned economy, represented by the model-A above, is the vehicle to modern, streamlined government. Gates is relying heavily on a town-by-town, person-by-person campaign to win the favor of the state convention delegates. He advocates a one-tax program, and vigorous, firm decisive leadership in Indiana.
