sion with his agate collection. The Kents have spent years amassing a wonderful collection of rocks and precious stones. Agates are colorless rocks that take a high polish and become beautiful showpieces, with many intricate internal designs, when properly cut. Green jade, of all shapes and sizes, cut into beautiful gem stones, were featured in Mrs. Kent's winning collection. Kent had a large part of his agate collection, with each design ex-

This was the second annual show for the relatively new Fort Wayne* club, which is associated with the national. Hundreds of those showing had stones for sale, and good jewelry, at very low cost, could be purchased from a number ot reputable dealers.

Union Bible School At Pleasant Mills The Pleasant Mills union Bible school, with the Bobo U. B. church, the Pleasant Mills Baptist church. Pleasant Mills Methodist church, and the Calvary E. U. 1,167 Reported At Park On Weekend A total of 1,167 persons 'use< Ouabache state recreation area this past weekend, the first for the gate, Robert Lane, park manager, announced today. This was much better than anticipated, he added. During the weekend, which started at 10:15 a.m. Friday, 299 cars, with 807 paid adult admissions, and 362 children admitted free under 12 years of age, 52 camping sites rented, and 24 in the group camp, were accomodated, he added. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Burkholder of 1410 N. Meridian, Portland, were the first through the gate, and Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Kissinger of 7521 Pinesdale, Fort Wayne were the second. Sunday, 190 cars entered the park, including 519 paid admissions,. and 277 children. A spot check showed that Allen county had the highest number of people in attendance, Adams county was second, and Wells county, third. Two Are Arrested After Accidents Residents of near Decatur and near Monroe were arrested by the city police following a trio of rear-end collisions that occurred over the past weekend. Larry R. Merriman, 26, of route 1, Monroe, was charged with driving too fast for existing conditions, while Vernon L. Heckman, 16, of route 1, Decatur, was ticketed for reckless driving Both will appear in J. P. court. Merriman was driving an auto that crashed into the rear of a car driven by Robert C. Fasnacht, 33, of Richmond, at the intersection of Nuttman Ave. and 13th streets at 2:53 p.m. Sunday. Both autos were northbound on 13th and Fasnacht had stopped for a red light when struck in the rear by Merriman’s car. The mishap occurred during the heavy rainfall. Slight Injury Elizabeth Spencer,' 50, also of Richmond, and a passenger in the Fasnacht auto, suffered a bump on the top of the head in the mishap. Damages were estimated at ,$175 to Merriman’s vehicle and $l5O to the Fasnacht auto. Heckman was cited for reckless driving after his auto crashed into the rear of a car operated by Richard Omlor, 17-year-old resident of 648 Mercer Ave., at 3:03 p.m. Sunday. Both were westbound on Monroe street and Omlor had stopped for a red light at the Fifth street intersection, when struck in the rear. Damages 'were estimated at $225 to the Omlor auto and $125 to the car. Third Rear-End The other rear-end collision occurred at 4:07 pm. Saturday on Monroe street, at the Pennsylvania railroad crossing. David Omlor, 20, a Hi-Way trailer court resident, was eastbound on Monroe and as he slowed for the railroad crossing, his auto was struck in the rear by a car driven by Virginia Laurent 63, of 636 N. Second St. Damages were minor, being estimated at S4O to the Omlor auto and $5 to the Laurent machine.
