The St. John’s Lutheran church at Bingen was the scene of a double ring ceremony Saturday evening. The Rev. E. A. H. Jacob read the vows which united Carolyn Joan Reinking and Alfred H. Hockemeyer in marriage. Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert Reinking of route one, Hoagland, and Mr. and .Mrs. Edgar Hockemeyer of route 2, Monroeville, are the parents of the couple. Lord’s Prayer,* and others. Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride appeared in a gown of chantilly lace and tulle with a sabrina neckline embroidered with seed pearls and irridescents. Tiers of lace rufles edged with sequins formed the side panels, and the back panel of lace fell into a cathedral length train also edged in sequins. The bride’s silk illusion veil was held by a double crown of lace and pearls accented with crystals. She carried a bouquet of sweethearts, showers and green centered with a white yellow throated orchid. The rftatron of honor was Mrs. Kenneth Hockemeyer, sister-in-law of the groom. She wore a mint green gown with scooped neckline and a dome skirt. It feautred a full watteau back with a bow at the front waistline. She wore a matching crown accented with pearls and braid and a circular maline veil. She carried a bouquet of yellow roses. The bridesmaids were the Mises Marilyn and Joan Hockemeyer, sisters of the groom, and Mrs. Keith Guenin. They were dressed identical to the honor attendent, The flower girl, Penny Rae Hockemeyer, niece of the groom, was also dressed like the matron of honor. She wore a ring of flowers on her head and carried a basket of yellow sweetheart roses. Kenneth Hockemeyer served

Roger Lee Bultemeier, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer. For her daughter’s wedding, Mrs. linking selected a cocoa silk dress with matching acessories. Mrs. Hockemeyer chose a pink lace dress for her son’s wedding. Both mothers wore a corsage of sweetheart roses which complemented their attire. Immediately following the ceremony a reception was held at the Hoagland Hayloft. Serving at the reception were the Misses Christine Counterman, Deanna Reynolds, Judy Bergdall, Beverly Shirley Bieberich, Ann Susan, Cheryl, and Joyce Bultemeier, the Meisdames Richard Felger, David Fuelling, Robert Peters, Kenneth Rekeweg and Richard Hockemeyer. Following a short wedding trip, the couple will reside at route one, Hoaglahd.

Youth Is Fined For Disorderly Conduct Larry Baumann, 20-year-old resident of route 1, Monroe, paid a fine of $lO and costs, totaling $31.75 on a disorderly conduct charge Saturday morning. Baumann appeared before Judge John B. Stults after his arrest Friday evening on the disorderly conduct charge. City police received a call from a 13th street restaurant around 11 o’clock Friday evening that explained someone was causing quite a disturbance around some of the automobiles parked at the restaurant. As the warrant for his arrest was being read to him, Baumann was reported to have fled across the street but was captured in a mattePtof moments and held in jail until his court appearance Saturday.

| ONO DEMONSTRATION CLUB HOLDS MEETING The ONO home demonstration I club met at the home of Mrs. Herman Durr. The meeting opened by each member introducing herI Relf to the guests present. Mrs. John T. Kelly and Mrs. Forrest I Diehl. The club creed was repeated in I urtison, followed by devotions ! given by Mrs. Willard Fawbush ' entitled “The Value of a Smile.” j She also read from the “Portals of Prayer” and led in prayer. Roll I call was answered by each member telling a custom of some j foreign country. The minutes and treasurer’s report were given by Mrs. Donald Haines, after which the history of the isong of the month “Drink to me with thine eyes,” I was read by Mrs. Fred Bieber- | ich, who also led the group in singing it. The president, Mrs. Bieberich, reported on the recent council meeting which she attended. She had received a quiz on the state of Indiana and each member was to fill in as many answers about their states as they knew. She also reminded the members of the f Purdue conference to be held June ; 2, 3. and 4. The annual club tour is to take , place May 7. The speaker, Dr. Franklyn Bryan, will speak on the topic, “Health services in the community and mulitfunction services.” This is a continuation of the study of the Leedy report. The order of Rainbow for Girls will meet at the Masonic hall Thursday at 6:45 p.m. for initiation. MT. PLEASANT WSCS HAS RECENT MEETING The Mt. Pleasant WSCS met recently'at the church. Mrs. Dorthy Fuhrman opened the meeting with a piano prelude. . The group Gang, “I’ll Go Where You Want Me to Go.” Mrs. Neven Miller had charge of the devotions. Mrs. Wiliam Fifer, president gave the lesson on “Missions.” She also offered prayer. The secretary and treasurer’s reports were read and approved, -j. Fifteen members answered roll "’call with a housecleaning hint. There were thirty one get well cards sent during the month, and seventeen sick calls were made. Six flowers were sent. Old and new business was discussed. The group is going to clean the church April 28. Mrs. Robert Fuhrman gave a poem, “The Value of a Smile.” She also led in the closing prayer. The St. John’s guild will sponson a rummage sale Friday and Saturday in the former Goodin Market building. A very interesting lesson was presented by Mrs. Fred Bieberich entitled “International Understanding.” She stated this could be broken down into five groups, namely: technology, customs, economy, symbols, and religion.
