The engagement and approaching marriage is announced by the bride-elect's parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Bultemeyer, route 1. . Miss Bultemeyer was graduated from Monmouth high school and is employed in the engineering division of the International Harvester company. Her fiance was graduated from Hoagland high school and is employed by Clifford C. Marshall of Fort Wayne. The couple will wed in St. John’s Lutheran church.

ED GEPHART HONORED SUNDAY ON BIRTHDAY Ed Gephart of Fort Wayne was the honored guest Sunday at a birthday dinner held at the Ijome of his sister, Mrs. Arthur Lillich of New Haven. The afternoon was spent in visiting and taking pictures. The honored guest received several gifts. Six other brothers and sisters of the honored guest were present fqr the occasion. Miss Bultemeyer is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Bultemeyer of route 1. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bultemeier of route 2 are the parents of Bultemeier. The couple are both, graduates of Monmouth high school. A late November wedding is being planned. Miss Bultemeyer is employed at the Anthony Wayne Bank, , Fort Wayne, and her fiance is employed at Detroit Wire Die, Inc., Fort Wayne.

The Dramatic department of the Decatur Woman’s club will meet at 8 p.m. Monday at the home of Mrs. August Kelly. GIRL SCOUTS Troop 672 ; » 4 Girl Scout troop 672 held their meeting in the basement of St. Mary’s church. Robert Willhelm, fifth grade teacher of St. Joseph school, helped us to earn our drawing and painting badge by teaching us crayon etching. Mrs. William Sweere came and helped our leaders with the meeting. Badges were awarded to some of the girls. Two weeks ago we had a Valentine party at the C. L. of C. hall. DOUBLE WEDDING , 1 ANNIVERSARY MARKED The 45th double wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. William Strahm of this city, and Mr. and Mrs. Levi Strahm of Poneto, was observed Sunday at the home of Mr, and Mrs. William Strahm. The brothers, William and Levi, married sisters Mae and Ocie Poling, February 22, 1919. The 52nd wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Fox of Berne was also observed. Mrs. Fox is a sister of William and Levi Strahm. Mr. and Mrs. Fox were married February 25, 1912. A carry in dinner was held. The centerpiece of the table w a s a beautifully decorated cake. Lighted candles, artificial flowers and gifts for the honored couples also decorated the table. Following the dinner, the afternoon was spent visiting and recalling family events of the past. Out of town guests were Kenneth Strahm, Fullerton, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Grimm and children, Mark, Tim and Pamela, Keystone; Ervin Poling, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Poling and children, Melissa and Kevin, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Clester, Bluffton; and Charles Poling of Fort Wayne. Moser of Wren, Ohio, have announced the engagement of their daughter, Anne, to William Alan Downs, son of James M. Downs of Chalmers. A June 27 wedding is being planned. , . _ . Miss Moser is a graduate of Wren high school and Purdue University. She is presently employed as a sixth grade teacher by the Concord Metropolitan school system in Elkhart. Her fiance is a graduate of Chalmers high school and Purdue University, and is presently employed as an industrial arts teacher by the Indianapolis public schools.
