I Joint Lent Service . At Trinity Church The First Methodist congregation will join the Decatur Evangelical United Brethren congregation in their second united Lenten service Sunday evening at 7 o’clock. The speaker for the service will be the Rev. F. P. Miller, who has chosen as his sermon, “Christ and Our Anxiety.” Rev. Miller is a co-pastor of the of the Decatur Evangelical United Brethren congregation. He has served in Decatur for three years. Prior to his ministry in Decatur he served pastorates at Linn Grove, Brushwood and Avilla. He is a graduate of Goshen College and Evangelical Theological Seminary. Rev. Miller holds the responsible position of executive secretary of stewardship in Indiana conference north of the Evangelical United Bret hren church and also is a member of the conference council. Locally Rev. Miller is secretary-treasurer of the Decatur ministerial association and a member of the Masonic lodge. Providing an anthem for the service will be the combined choirs of the Decatur Evangelical United Brethren congregation, who will be singing under the direction of Mrs. Lex Dormire. Investigate Break-in At Berne Station The sheriff’s department and I state police are investigating a I break-in at the Blue Sunoco serv- J ice station in Berne, that oc- I curred Thursday evening or early I this morning. Entry to the station, located I at the north edge of Berne on I U.S. 27, was gained through a I window. Two peanut-vending ma- I chines were broken open with a hammer and approximately $5 I or $6 was stolen. A cigarette ma- I chine was also opened, and about I $1.50 taken.
