WELCOME WAGON CLUB MEETS THURSDAY NIGHT The l't M building was the acene of the Welcome Wagon club meeting Thursday evening. Past members of the club were guests for the evening. There were twenty-four women present. Mrs. Herman Krueckeberg gave a very interesting program showing colored slides taken last year on her trip through Germany and Switzerland. Refreshments were served at tables decorated in the Valentine theme. Door prizes were won by the Mesdames Harold Messick, Roy McKean, and Herman Kruckeberg. The . next meeting will be March 5 at the I & M building. RUTH CIRCLE MEETS THURSDAY EVENING The Ruth circle of Decatur E.U.B. church met Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. Dan Simerman. Twelve members and two guests were present. The guests were Mrs. Vera Fugate and Mrs. Russell Plumley. Mrs. Fuhrman Miller, chairman, presented the devotions and conducted the business meeting. The minutes were read, corrected and approved, and reports were given by the various secretaries. The chairman stressed to the members that February was the work month for the Ruth circle. Following the business meeting, the lesson was (resented by Mrs. Simerman and Mrs. Paul Johnson. See a Neighbor — Through the Grace of God.” A dual monologue was given with Mrs. Chalmer Bollenbacher and Mrs. Simerman taking part which brought out the problems of both the American woman and the Indian woman. Mrs. Miller sang “Father In Heaven" as part of the playlet Discussion followed with all members taking part on the problems, witnessing and challenge of the Christian message tor all. Following prayers for India and North America, the offering was received and the benediction was given by Mrs. Johnson. A display of interesting and beautiful items from India and Pakistan was exhibited for all to see. Brass items, teakwood, ivory carvings, gold brocaded silk, 'women’s saris and sandals were among the souvenirs on display. Lovely refreshments were served to the members and guests by the hostess, Mrs. Simerman. Favors were in the form of miniature flags of the four countries studied, Nepal, Ceylon, India and Pakistan and also a copy of “The Lord’s Prayer” in Hindu. The March meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Chalmer Bollenbacher, with Mrs. Howard Eley as leader. < The women of the Moose met at the Moose home Thursday evening with Mrs. Charles Haney presiding. Mrs. Lester Sheets, hospital chairman, served refreshments which were enjoyed by all.. The next meeting will be February 20. The Pleasant Mills Baptist church W. M. S. will meet at the home of Mrs. Treva Mihm, Wednesday at 7 p.m. The Salem Methodist church W. S. C. S. will meet at the church Thursday at 1:30 p.m. The Nu-U club will meet at 1140 West Madison street at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. The D. A. V. meeting scheduled for Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the D. A. V. hall will be a joint meeting of the D. A. V. and the auxiliary. The Olive Rebekah lodge will meet Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Red Men’s hall. r The American Legion Auxiliary will have a business meeting at the Legion home at 8 p.m. The Gals and Pals home demonstration club will meet Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the Pleasant Mills school. The time of the W. S. C. S. meeting at the First Methodist church chapel Thursday lias been changed to 1:30 p.m. There will be an executive meeting at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. GIRL SCOUTS . Miss Linda Sue Reidenbach, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Reidenbach, 308 Marshall street, became the bride of David Vincent Omlor, at the St. Mary’s Catholic church at 11 o’clock this morning. Omlor is the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Omlor of 216 South Fourth street. The Rt. Rev. !Msgr. Simeon Schmitt officiated at the double ring ceremony. The ceremony was performed before an altar decorated with white gladiolas and white carnations. White bows marked the pews. Escorted to the altar by hes father, the bride appeared in a gown of organza and chantilly lace over taffeta. The bodice of lace was fashioned with a scalloped sabrina neckline and long tapering sleeves. The bouffant floor length skirt of organza was appliqued with lace flowers. A bustle bow added back interest. A double crown of lace and pearls held the finger tip veil. The bride carried an arrangement of red and white roses. The maid of honor, Miss Sally Walters, was attired in a street length dress of red velvet styled with a sleeveless bodice which was covered by a jacket. She wore a white velvet dressmaker bow with a veil. She also wore long white gloves. The bridesmaid, Miss Esther Feasel, and the jun-One-Car Accident Early This Morning City police investigated a onecar accident at the intersection of Jackson and First streets at 2 o’clock this morning. Darrell L. Grice, 23, of 963 Parkview Drive, was northbound on First street, and said an unidentified auto pulled off Jackson in front of his auto, forcing him to drive his car over the curb on the northeast comer of the intersection. Grice said the auto continued on without stopping. The Grice vehicle received an estimated $l5O damage. Tony Fontane Story — To Be Shown Sunday The musical drama and color film of the “Tony Fontane Story” will be presented at the Salem Methodist church Sunday at 7:30 p. m. It is the life story of Tony Fontane, a radio and TV recorder, and his wife, an actress and night club entertainer. Both were converted after a narrow escape from death in an auto accident, and have devoted, their lives to the service of Christ.

ior bridesmaid, Miss Donna Jean Reidenbach, sister of the bride, were dressed identical to the honor attendant. The attendants carried cranberry carnations. Miss Patricia Reidenbach, sister of the bride, served as flower girl in a white velvet street length dress. She wore a headpiece of white velvet dressmaker bows and short white gloves. She carried a basket of red rose petals. For her daughter’s wedding, Mrs. Reidenbach wore a blue wool dress with blue and white accessaries and a white carnation cot*’ sage. The mother of the groom, Mrs. Omlor, chose a blue lace dress with blue accessories and a white carnation corsage. Brooks Arnold served as best man, and Michael Reidenbach, brother of the bride, and Kenneth Colter served as ushers. Ring bearer was Rocky Hunter. Die wedding dinner was served at the Four Seasons restaurant. The reception will be held this afternoon at the Moose lodge, with 150 guests invited. The serving table will be covered with a white table cloth overlaid with red lace and trimmed with white wedding bells. The three 4iered wedding cake will be decorated with red roses. Serving the guests will be the Misses Scotty Cumming, Kathy Rash, Darlene Richards? and Nancy Arnold. For a honeymoon of unannounced destination, the bride will wear a brown and beige two piece suit with green accessories. The bride attends Decatur high school and Warner’s Beauty college. The groom is a supervisor at Gilpin’s. After February 10, the couple will reside at the Hi-Way trailer court. Locals O. J. Journay, of Portland, father of William Journay and Mrs. Carl Lose of Decatur, is reported much better following surgery Thursday for a blood clot in the side of his head. Gary Mack, manager of the Decatur Local Loan office, has been transferred, effective Monday, to the Peru office. The Misses Pat Beal and Sharon Tylisz and Mick_Barnes of Ball State college, Muncie, spent last evening with Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Beal. Miss Jayne Beal returned with them for the “Little Sis” activities at Ball State over the Weekend. Miss Tylisz will spend the weekend with the Beal family.

Put them all together and it spells ladies night for the Adamizers, Adams county’s chapter of barbershop singers! The affair was held Thursday evening at Preble, with the ladies treated to a calorie-counting meal and singing galore. The program opened with some barbershop selections and the local chapter’s two quartets, “The Hone Tones,” and “The Eelg,” sang. Following, the popular quartet from Fort Wayne, “The Wayne Beaus,” entertained. Next was the feature of the evening, “The Road Runners,” from Gary, the current district champion quartet. Billed as the “best in the mid-west,” the quartet presented crystal smooth harmony. Anyone interested in joining the local chapter is invited to attend the chapter’s chorus practice each Thursday evening in the Decatur high school’s new addition. Men's Dormitory At Marian College Immediate construction of a men’s dormitory at Marian Coliege has been announced by the Rt. Rev. Francis J. Reine, president. It will be completed in September for occupancy at the start of the 1964-65 'school year. Construction of the Indianapolis college’s first residence hall for men will start in March. Housing 75 students, the first three-story $250,000 structure will be expanded later to accomodate 225 men in three identical wings built of concrete, stone and brick. Each wing will include a lounge, and the completed complex will contain a one-story main lobby. Bayh, Hartke Vote For Tax Cut Bill WASHINGTON (UPI) — Indiana’s two Democratic senators, Birch Bayh and Vance Hartke, voted with the majority Friday as the Senate approved an $11.6 billion tax cut bill. Pack Meeting Held By Southeast Cubs Southeast Pack 3062 held its monthly pack meeting at the school January 30, with Cubmaster Frank Lybarger opening the meeting by welcoming all parents and Cubs. Den 2, with Den mother Mrs. Lybarger, gave the opening ceremony, and den 5, under the direction of den mothers Mrs. Cowens and Mrs. Kolter, won the attendance award by having the most parents and Cubs at the meeting It was the third month in succession they had won the award. Cubmaster Lybarger gave a report on the hockey game the pack attended January 19. A total of 99 parents and Cubs attended the game. It was announced that Feb. 9 is Scout Sunday, and it is hoped that as many as possible will be able to attend services. Paper Drive A paper drive will be held Saturday, Feb. 15, and anyone wanting papers picked up is asked to call 3-3728 or 3-2080. The Blue and Gold banquet will be held at the Southeast school February 20, and all Cubs were urged to bring their parents as there will be special entertainment. Den 6, under the direction of Mrs. Feasel, presented a skit on first aid and artificial respiration, and Cubmaster Lybarger then presented the following awards: R. Steury, denner badge; J. Bodie, denner badge; C. Ginter, 1 year pin; J. Lee, 2 year pin and bear badge; T. Feasel, bobcat badge; L. Witte, bobcat badge; M. Arnold, 1 year pin, lion badge and gold arrow; J. Babcock, silver arrow; D. Stevens, 1 year pin and wolf badge; K. Ward, wolf badge; G. Burkhart, bear badge. Following the presentation, inspection of uniforms was held and Den 4, under the direction of Mrs. Steury, presented the closing ceremony.
