70 Medals Awarded To Adams Central A total of 70 medals were received. hy Adams Central vocal and iMtru mental students at the annual district contest held recently at Lakeside junior high school and Centrail high school in Fort Wayne. A total of 23 soloists and IS ensembles participated in these events. Jobless Pay Claims Decrease In State INDIANAPOLIS (UPI) — The number of claims for unemployment insurance dropped from 58,276 to 53,819 last week, the Indiana Employment Security Division disclosed today. The latest total was nearly 21 per cent below the 68,044 claims filed In the corresponding week last year. The 4,457 decrease was about half from persons newly out of work and half from those out of work a week or mart. Kohne, wellknown Decatur physician, suffered a heart attack while in oxygen last evening at the Adams county memorial hospital, and was removed to Parkview hospital in Fort Wayne by ambulance.
