Hammond Man Dies From Bullet Wound HAMMOND, Ind. (UPD -Willard Brown, 50, Hammond, died Tuesday from a bullet wound suttered when he was shot in the abdomen near a tavern. John Dooloey, 58, Hammond, was arrested for questioning on the strength of Brown’s statement to two policemen before he died. Officers learned that Brown and Dooley had been feuding for years.

Hollywood Motion Picture and Television stars, Vic Datnone, Janet Leigh, and Barry Sullivan will headline an entertainment program honoring U.S. Senator Birch E. Bayh, Saturday night, February 1, 8:00 P.M., Cadle Tabernacle, Indianapolis. The event, which is expected to attract more than 5,000 persons, is in celebration of the 36th birthday of Senator Bayh.
