By Bob Shrahika The holiday season for Albert M. Manlier is three-fold this year. Christmas. New Year's—and his 90th birthday. Between Christmas last Wednesday and v New Year's nest Wednesday. Mr. Manlier will celebrate birthday number 90, on Sunday, Nothing special is being planned for the 90th birthday, but if just a few. of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren stop in at his home in Pleasant Mills, there could be a huge gathering. The children, children's children, etc., are too numerous to -begin to count. Mr. Manlier and his daughter. Mrs. Esther Riley, who lives with him, explain. In addition to Mrs. Riley, two other drmghters, Mrs. Rosie Friedt of Decatur and Mrs. Lucille Wcchtcr. who resides in this county near Willshire, O';, are living. Mr. Mauller also has a brother. Ervin Mauller, who resides in Convoy, 0.. Numerous Grandchildren There are many, many and many more grandchildren — Mrs. Riley herself has 20. which would be Mr. Mauller's great-grand-children—and many of them ?till reside in this county. He has one great-great-grandchild. Two of the grandsons are Kenney and Marion Friedt of Decatur. Mrs, George'Hill, Mr. Mauller’s sister, also resides in . this city, at 133 N. Ninth ptreet. One brother and one sister are deceased. Life is easy and quiet for Mr. Mauller. as he spends most of his time in the home he built in Pleasant Mills after he had passed his 70th birthday. The small —but "cozy-"—home is' located across the' street from the elevator in Pleasant Mills which Mr. Mauller operated many years ago. Most enjoyable to him is being able to sit near the window in the living room of the home and pbserVe the work that" is being done, at the elevator. Recent Visit A stroke in June took some of* the strength frqrn his legs, but Mrs.- Riley has worked with/Im to help him regain enough of the use of his legs that he is; still/ able to get out of the houiie on occasions. / Just recently, he was brought to Decatur and visited With his
