Former NFO Vice President Robert Casper, Winterset, lowa, vzho rah for NFO president against Staley last year, accused Staley of tising the organization for his own advancement, “About all the organization got done this year and last year is politicking,” he said. “It’s a little difficult to put your money in an organization and have it used to cut your throat.” i The other speakers at the meeting, attended by members from Missouri, Illinois, lowa, and Nebraska, stuck to their theme of accusing Staley of “ope-man rule” in the NFO A small group of Staley supporters also attended the speeches which were orderly despite fears by members that trouble might break out.
