Dean Lamar Culp, 30-year-old Goshen man, escaped the crash on U. S. 27, a mile north of Monroe, without injury, but was charged with reckless driving and cited into Berne justice of the peace court next Monday night. Culp was northbound on 27 and told investigating officers he fell asleep, as his auto failed to negotiate the curve just south of the Monroe road intersection. — The auto continued straight ahead, traveling 350 feet into a field and rolling over on its top before coming to rest. Upon leaving the highway, the car knocked down eight posts and 140 feet of guard rail, owned by the state, which was along the road. An advertising sign approximately 15 feet by 10 feet, was also knocked down. Deputy sheriff Harold August, who investigated, estimated the car at a total loss, and $l5O to the guard rail and posts and S4O to the sign.

Russian Cosmonauts To Marry Saturday MOSCOW (UPD—Soviet space woman Valentina Tereshkova will be married to cosmonaut Andrian Nikolayeve in a unique ceremony Saturday that will be televised to the nation, it was confirmed today. TYie entire space colony and perhaps Premier Nikita Khrushchev himself were expected to attend the brief civil service in one of Moscow’s two “palaces of marriage.” Publicity such as this for a Soviet wedding, involving public figures, is almost unprecedented in the Soviet Union. The exact time and place of the wedding were not announced, presumably to keep a semblance of semi-privacy although all the Soviet Union will be looking in by television. Valentina, or Valya as she is known to-,, her friends, is 26 years old and has indicated that she wants to continue space flights even after she gets married. The attractive girl started out as a paratrooper. But last June she was at the controls of Vostok VI as it covered 1.24 million miles and whirled around the earth 48 times in less than three days. Nikolayev, 33, orbited the earth 64 times in August, 1962. He was the nation's most eligible bachelor and No. 1 pinup boy until Valentina captured his affections. A rugged former lumberjack, Nikolayev is an air force major. His bride-to-be recently was promoted from junior lieutenant to captain.
