Larry Morrison, Minister 9:15 a. m.—Pre-service Prayer. 9:30 a. m.—Morning Worship: Songs, Prayer, and Communion, followed by inspiring message. The goal before every soldier of the cross is to be faithful until the end of life. This involves the performance of duty and obedience to the will of God. In fact, the individual triumphs only as he is faithful. Those who reject Christ continue in a savor of death unto death and those who accept Christ recognize Him as the giver of life unto life. Stanley Jones has described the following as the Ten Steps each must take who desires to find God: 1. Review your own life. 2. Reverse whatever is wrong in it. 3. Return to God, who is revealed in Christ. 4. Renounce yourself and your sin. 5. Restore wherever restitution is necessary. 6. Receive God’s grace and His Spirit in your heart. 7. Relate the new Christian Truth to your whole life in your own home and daily work. 8. Replenish your life by a daily quiet time of communion with God. 9. Release this personality from all the manacles and grave clothes of the dead past, to free it for service for your fellow men. 10. Rejoice in God as your Heavenly Father and thank Him daily for His unspeakable gift of Jesus Christ. THE BETTER WAY Human beings, like trees, must have their roots firmly in the soil of faith. Men are blessed with different talents, but it is the same God who provides them. God works through each of us in different ways, but it is the same God who achieves His purpose through it qll. As external man suffers wear and tear, the internal man is receiving fresh strength if he deeply rooted in faith. The 'visible is transitory, not the invisible: and the invisible, not the visible, is permanent. It is our sense of direction, and how deeply root ed is our faith, that will determine our destiny.

The Church Invites You “Real religion is a stream of power, like electricity,” writes Samuel M. Shoemaker ’’ln his book, “How to Become a Christian.” “God is like a great hidden dynamo. Christ and His church are like outlets where we can tap His power. Surrendering to Christ, promising to follow Him, are like plugging in your * personal wire to the outlet. Prayer is like turning on the power which comes from the divine dynamo. The power of God through faith is just as definite, just as tangible, just as useable, as electricity. The trouble with many people is that they are dead ends of power, when they ought to be transmitters of it.” The church provides a place for the renewal of- - faith, the restoration of one’s courage, the revitalizing of one’s spiritual life. WHY NOT ACCEPT THE INVI- ' TATION AND COME TO CHURCH NEXT SUNDAY? A Happy Home The following axioms may be helpful to parents in their efforts to guide their children into becoming useful, respected, wellbalanced, upright men and women: 1. The future of the child is determined by home influences to a great degree. 2. No child has a fair chance in life unless he is taught prayer and the great truths about God and the future life. 3. The child who wants more than his share does not change when he grow up unless this trait is corrected. 4. It is easier to teach unselfishness to several children than to | one. 5. The child who is not trained to be on time is not trained. 6. The enjoyment of rights in the home should be dependent on the performance of duties and carrying out responsibilities. 7. Scold less encourage more. 8. All play and no work makes Jack a bad boy. 9. Books rank high in the shaping of character. 10. Make responsibilty the price of privilege.
