electric company to make an estimate on getting the chandelier taken down and re-fostailed so that it will be safe. He said that until the repair work is done, the area beneath the chandelier will be blocked off to avert a possible tragedy. “I don’t think I’d even want to be sitting on the bench with the connections so weak,” Myers declared. “If that chandelier should fall, it would shatter glass all over the place.” Myers said that he recalled at least two other chandeliers in the Statehouse that have fallen in recent months, but no one was under them at the time. Each side in Indiana’s big battle over a proposed two per cent sales tax will have one hour to present its position.
