The Cross Uhited Church of Christ, Berne, was the scene of a double ring wedding ceremony with the Rev. Harry Reiners officiating. Joined in holy wedlock were Miss Judith Kay Neaderhouser and James Lester Sipe. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Neaderhouser, Berne, and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Sipe, route 1, Monore. MAX COLPETZER TO SPEAK AT OPEN MEETING The Vara Cruz opportunity school will hold a meeting open to the public, Friday at 7:30 p.m. Max Colpetzer, M.A., will speak on the “Challenge of Parenthood.” A parttime Psychiatric social worker at the Johnny Appleseed school for retarded children in Fort Wayne, Colpetzer has served in this capacity five yeans. His duties at the school include interviewing parents, compiling information relative to eligibility, serving on staff of screening committee, counseling with teachers, and assisting the parents in overcoming special problems. *> Colpetzer received his degree in psychiatric social work from Indiana University and continued post graduate studies at the Alfred Adler Institute, Chicago. He served five years on the staff of the Veterans administration neuropsychiatric hospital at Marion, two years as executive director of the mental hygiene clinic in that city, three and one half years on the staff of the Fort Wayne State school and is now engaged in private practcie at the Fort Wayne marriage counseling and educational center. The Eiting Acres reunion will be held Saturday at Hanna-Nuttnian park beginning with a carry-in supper at 6 p.m. The Ever Ready Sunday School class of the Metnodist church will meet at the church Thursday at 7:30 p.m. The Zion Lutheran Parent Teachers league will meet in the Zion parish hall for a carry-in supper, at 5:30 p.m. Sunday. The supper is given in honor of the new first and second grade teacher, Mrs. David Ebeling. The regular meeting will follow at 7 p.m. The Eagles Auxiliary will meet at the Eagles Hall at 8 p.m. Tuesday. The Rose Garden club will meet Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the home of Mrs. George Sprague. i cented with ivy streamers. Miss ; Schindler carried a colonial bouquet of white pompoms and pink ' sweetheart roses. The bridesmaids, ’ were Miss Sally Schindler, Miss Alice Roth and Mrs. Stan Augsburger. Miss Cheryl Roth served as junior bridesmaid and Miss Shelly Roth as flower girl. All were dressed identical to the honor attendant. For her daughter’s wedding, Mrs. Neaderhouser chose a dusty pink sheath of Flemish alover lace with a satin sash to match. Mrs. Sipe, mother of the groom, selected a green silk chiffon dress with matching accessories. Jerry Mason stood as best man with Jack Edmondson, Danny Gardner, and Dave Clark seating the guests. Kevin Sipe served as ring bearer. Immediately following the ceremony a recaption was held in the education building. Serving the guests were the Mesdames Wayne Amstutz, Jerry Dennis, Jerry Mason, and the Misses Tanya Bowi man, Connie Bergman, Ruth Ann Smalley, and Mrs. Randall Pemberton. For a honeymoon in Bermuda the new Mrs. Sipe was wearing an aqua silk chiffon dress with unpressed pleats, short sleeves and a scoop neckline. The bride is a graduate of BerneFrench high school. Sipe, also a Berne-French graduate, will be a senior at Purdue University. A white aisle carpet lead the way to an altar bedecked with beauty vases filled with white gladioluses and flanked with candelabra for a double ring wedding ceremony at the Nazarene Church Friday. The Rev. Kenneth Hawkins, uncle of the bride, assisted by the Rev. Wilmer Wat--son, read the vows to join in marriage Miss Sharon Kay Sudduth dnd Glenn Thomas Suman. • , t. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Orval Sudduth, 23 8 North Seventh street, and Mr. and Mrs. Otho Suman, 931 North J Fifth street. The wedding music included selections entitled “Each For the Other.” “Savior Like a Shepherd Lead Us,” and “Through Life Together,” as wel| as other appropriate musical arrangements. Given in marriage by her father, the bride appeared in a chapellength gown of chantijly lace over taffeta. The basque bodice featured a sabrina neckine and long lace sleeves that tapered to points over her wrists. The very full lace skirt, enhanced with lace roses was fashioned in scalloped tiers and swept into a chapel-length train. The bride carried a cascade arrangement of white sims carnations, centered with a lavendar orchid, and accented with satin streamers. Her bouffant veil of pure silk illusion was caught to a crystal and seed pearl crown. Serving as matron of honor was Mrs. Gary Shoaf, sister of the birde. She selected a street length sheath of royal blue satin. A bodice that featured a scooped neckline topped a skirt fashioned with a gathered overskirt. A self fabric bow held the gathers at the front. A similar bow held in place her circular veil. Mrs. Shoaf carried a large pale blue mum framed by white daisy pompom mums. The bridesmaid was Miss Kathy Walters, who was dressed identical to the honor attendant. The flower girl, Miss Melinda Sudduth, niece of the bride, ware a royal blue satin floor length dress that featured a gathered skirt accented with a bow. She carried a basket of blue and white pompom mums. For her daughter’s wedding Mrs. Sudduth was wearing a multicolored print rayon dress with matching accessories an a' corsage of white glomellia. The bride is a graduate of Decatur high school and was formerly employed at the Holthouse Drug Store. The groom is also a Decatur graduate and is employed at General Electric in Fort Wayne. The couple will make their home in Fort Wayne. SINGLETON REUNION AT MARTIN HOME The Singleton family reunion was held recently at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ken Martin on route 6. A potluck dinner and outside activities were enjoyed by those in attendance. CLUB VIEWS FILM ON HAWAII Mrs. Ivan Barkley was hostess to the Live and Learn Home Demonstration culb recently with a carry-in Supper. The members of the club entertained their families for the evening. Miss Elnore Bowyer, Monroeville, gave an interesting talk to accompany the films on Hawaii. She then instructed several of the children present how to do an Hawaiian dance. There i were fifty In attendance. Co-host-esses for the evening were Mrs Paul Morgan and Mrs Archie Smitley. The September meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Wilber Foor, the 24th, at 1:30 p.m. The reguar meeting date of the Profit and Pleasure Home Demonstration club has been changed’ to Monday, September 9. The club will meet in the Indiana & Michigan social room at 7:30 p.m. Mrs. Blanche Busses will be hostess.
