Locals The Cubs Pony League baseball team traveled to Chicago Saturday to attend the White Sox-Yankee game. The Cardinals Pony League team motored to Cincinnati Sunday to attend the Cubs-Reds doublehearder, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Foor announce the birth of a son, born August 17. Mrs. Foor is the fromer Twannette Magley of Decatur. The father is stationed at Davis- Monthan Air Force base at Tuson, Ariz. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Foor have returned from Tucson, Ariz. where they visited with their son, Roger and family. Mrs. Frances Magley accompanied them but remained for a few weeks’ longer visit. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Kriegel and family and Mrs. Mary Foos have returned from Fond du Lac, Wis., where they attened the ceremony of

religious reception of their daughter and grandaughter, Mary Sue Kriegel, into the community of the Sisters of St. Agnes. She received the religious name of Sister M. Goretti. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Conrad, Sr., and daughter, Mrs. Roger Pollock, ■arrived home Sunday from Alamaso, Colo., where they attended the graduation of their son, Paul, Jr., who received the master of arts degree from Adams College. While in Colorado Mr. and Mrs. Conrad and daughter visited Colorado Springs, Garden of the Gods, the Royal Gorge and other points of interest. Paul, Jr., and his wife returned with them and left this morning for Pioneer, 0., where he will teach this fall. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Smith and daughters, Carol and Peggy, have returned home after vacationing in the New England states. They also stopped in Carthage, N.Y., for a few days to visit with Robert Finnegan and family.

Miller and Larry David Macklin. A white carpet graced the aisle leading to an altar flanked with candelabra that featured a combination of white gladioluses, aqua pon pom mums, foliage, and can-
dies. Parents erf the couple are Mr. and Mrs. R. LaDoyt Miller, 1210 Master Drive, and Mr, and Mrs. Richard J. Macklin, Homestead 24. The wedding music was provided by organist. Miss Barbara Harden, and vocalist Richard Johnson who used selections entitled, “O Perfect Love,” ‘‘Wedding Prayer,” "Dedication” and “Sheep May Safely Graze.” Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride appeared in a chapel length gown of bonquet taffeta. The fitted bodice featured a bateau neckline and cardin sleeves. The high waistline of bias taffeta bands topped the controlled skirt of unpressed pleats. An obi sash toppea the chapel-lengtn train. Her bouffant veil of pure silk illusion was caught to a crown of twisted seed pearls and crystals. For a bridal bouquet she carried a hand bouquet of cascading white roses framed with leather - leaf ferns, streamers of ivy and satin ribbons. The maid of honor, Miss Eleanor Miller, sister of the bride selected a gown of aqua satapeau. A scoop neckline and short sleeves styled the bodice which rose from a fitted midriff. The dome shaped skirt was highlighted by a petal front and accented with a selffabric rose. Miss Miller wore an open pillbox hat fashioned with a rose in the back and carried a hand bouquet of shell pink asters. The bridesmaids were the Misses Jeanna Towler and Jayne Macklin, who were dressed identical to the honor attendant. For her youngest daughter’s wedding, Mrs. Miller selected a teal blue sheath dress with a feather hat, black patent accessories and a corsage of white carnations. For her son’s wedding, Mrs. Macklin appeared in a green silk linen ishehth dress, feather hat, beige accessories and a corsage of white carnations. Thomas Johnson stood as best man, with Jack Macklin and Thoman Macklin seating the guests. Immediately wolowing the ceremonay, a reception was held at the church for approximately 140 guests. The wedding cake, trimmed with aqua roses, was centered on a white table cloth amid white gladioluses and aqua mums. Serving at the reception were the Misses Janice Allison, Nancy Miller, and Susan Keller. Mrs. Dee Wolfe registed the guests, and Mrs. Dwight Brunner, the gifts. For a honeymoon to Michigan and Canada the new Mrs. Macklin was wearing a toast brown linen suit with matching accessories. « The bride is a graduate of Decatur high school and is employed at the Decatur public library. Macklin, also a Decatur high school graduate, attended Indiana University and will attend the Fort Wayne Center. The couple will make their home at 518 Mercer avenue after August 24. STORK SHOWER IS GIVEN FOR MRS. DRAKE A stork shower was given Friday evening for Mrs. John Drake of Marion, by Mrs. Chalmer Knittie and Mrs. Keith Schnepp at the latter’s home. Games were played and prizes won by Mrs. Helen Habegger, Mfs. Orie Drake, Mrs. Lloyd Bowman and Miss Linda Deam, who in turn presented them to the guest of honor. The gifts were placed on a table that was decorated with pink and blue streamers and centered with a stork and baby crib centerpice. A luncheon of cake, ice cream, punch, mints and nuts was then served from a table decorated in the same color theme. Those attending included the Mesdames Helen Habegger, Virginia Drake, Mary Kolter, Fannie Amstutz, Sherman Zeser, the Misses Linda Deam, Judy Drake, Janet Drake, Cathy Schnepp, Becky Schnepp, Donna Zeser the guest of honor and the hostessed.
