A HAPPY HOME Youth is the Answer When our generation fails, it becomes the responsibility of the next generation to rebuild or restore. From all evidences, it appears that our present generation has failed to keep our nation truly Christian. To reverse the trend and pull our nation back to God, we must depend on the Youth of America, and if we would place our future in their hands, we must teaclf and train them in the fundamentals of our freedom and our Christian way of life. The communists realize this. They spend little time convincing the older generation, they just tell them, but they spend millions' working with youth trying to sell them on communist ideals, and this is going on right under our noses in our own colleges and universities. In our troubled world we must, of course, help those in other nations who need our help badly, but let us not lose our youth to false doctrines meanwhile.
CHURCH FORUM HOW IS THE COMMANENT “THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF” EXPRESSED IN OTHER RELIGIONS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD? In Judaism, it is expressed as follows: “What is hateful to you, do not do to your fellow man. That is the entire law; the rest is commentary.” In confucianism: “Do not unto others what you would not have them unto you.” In Buddhism: “Hurt not others in ways that you yourself would find hurtful.” In Islam: “No one of you is a believer until he desires for his brother that which he desires for himself.” In Branbamanism: “This is the sum of duty: Do nought unto others which would cause you pain if done to you.” In Taoism: “Regard your neighbor’s gain as your own gain, and your neighbor’s loss as your own loss.” In Zoroastrianism: “That nature alone is good which refrains from doing unto others whatsoevers is not good for itself.” Lesson Prayer LESSON PRAYER: Dear Father, we thank Thee that there is a line of communication between Thee and us, appeals coming down from Thee and prayers going up to Thy throne from the hearts of men. May we be ever mindful that when the circumstances of life are most discouraging and perplexing, Thou dost seek us and that Thou can be found at any time and any place if we but seek Thee.

When Christ comes into one’s life two things happen: first, there is the discovery of what is the matter and second, there is the adequacy of the spirit to meet the revealed need. The Church Invites You “Christ alone can impart new meaning to life, new strangth to institutions and new vitality to human thought,” says Dr. Rene de Vismo Williamson, of Louisana State University. “He continues, “Even the pagan world must reckon all history as before or after Christ. So must each individual reckon his own personal life as before or after Christ’s birth in his own life. Faith in Christ is not the end of the road; it is the beginning of a new road on which each person is assured of guidance and companionship, the only road whose destination is his destiny.” The church proclaims the teachings of Christ which can strengthen our faith and make our lives more effective. WHY NOT ACCEPT THE INVITATION AND COME TO CHURCH NEXT SUNDAY? CLERICUS SAYS Clericus says: “Most of us spend a lot of time - whether we admit it or not - running from God, or ignoring Him. Sooner or later, we must meet up with Him, face Him, surrender to Him. God is always seeking man. He catches up with us when we least expect it. He often finds us at our lowest moments. God is not satisfied with vows and tithes alone. He demands ourselves. Our human wants are unlimited, but our need is single, critical and desperate - our need is God. Without Him, we have nothing to hold on to when we come to the end of our resources. Without Him, life has no meaning. Without Him, we have no hope.” THE BETTER WAY The Secret of Happiness Earthly happiness, the pleasure that comes from without through the senses, may be pure, but it is never perfect, and it does not last. The secret of it is four-fold: First, it does not depend on what we have but what we are. Second, it is not found by direct seeking, but by setting our faces toward the things from which it flows. We must climb the mountain if we would see the vision, we must tune the instrument 4f we would hear the music. Third, it is not solitary but social. We can never have it without sharing it with others. Fourth, it is God’s will for us, and not of our will for ourselves; and so we can only find it by giving our lives to its control. And what we love, that we grow like. DO YOU ANSWERED 1. Peter - John 13:36-38 2. Judas 3. Matthew 4. John 5. James - Luke 9:51-56

A new organization which will seek to break down some of the religious and class barriers which divide Australians has been established in Sidney. It aims at getting people of all walks of life together to study the problems which are impeding national development. The organization, called the Australian Frontier, plans to initiate a series of round-table talks at which the church and the community in general will be brought closer together. The Australian Council of Churches took two years to lay the foundation of the Australian Frontier and recently the group received a gift of 125,000 to launch the work. However, the organization will operate independently of the Council.
