Decatur EUB Youth Attend Conference Fourteen youth from the Decatur E.U.B. church are attending summer youth conferences, at Qakwood park, Lake Wawasee. The youth conferences bring young people from the churches of Indiana conference north. The activities of the conferences include depth Bible study, youth fellowship workshops, worship experiences and recreation. Attending the conference from July 28-August 3 were the following: Cindy Haggerty, Donna Pettibone, Susan Ellis, Karen Shackley, Neil. Butcher, Rick Kelley, Jim Williamson and Dan Miller. The Rev. James Nutt, West Lafayette, was the guest leader and the Rev. Paul DeHoff was the director. Attending the conference August 11 through 17 are: Carol Hoverman, Jack Affolder, Wayne and Dennis Morgan and Mike Fuhrman. The guest leader is the Rev. Lynn Henry of South Bend, and the director is the Rev. Terry Hoffman of Gary. Also participating in tiie conference as counselors from the Decatur E.U.B. church were Miss Linda Jackson, Mrs. Don Cochran and the Rev. J. O. Penrod# Earnings Reported By G. C. Murphy Co. NeV earnings for the first six months of the G.C. Murphy Co. were $1,878,912, or 45 cents a share pn sales of $113,468,729. In 1962 the company earned $2,302,556, or 55 cents a Share. The sales decline of 3.5 per cent in the first six months was reversed in July when sales increased 1.9 per cent. With the major share of the year’s sales and profits customarily produced in the last half, a continuation of this trend will produce improvement in both for the year, according to J.S. Mack, chairman of the board and president In the first six months of 1963, one store was opened and two were closed. A store was opened July 18 in Texarkana, Texas, and two other new stores are scheduled for opening before the end of the year.
