Benson South, 46-year-old re si-’ dent of Spencer St., was fined SSO and costs, totaling $68.75, in city court this morning by Judge John B. Stults, after his arrest about 3 p.m. Tuesday in Pleasant Mills. South was taken into custody by deputy sheriff Warren Kneuss, who had received a call concerning the Decatur man. Kneuss stopped him after South had slightly damaged two parked cars in peasant Mills, when he hit them with his auto. South's driver’s license was still in the envelope from the state bureau of motor vehicles when he was arrested. He had been convicted of driving while under the influence in city court a year ago, at which time his license was revoked for a year. The license had just been returned to him Tuesday morning. In court today he was not only •fined — but his license was again ordered suspended. Two Autos Damaged In Accident Tuesday Two autos were damaged in an accident Tuesday at 7:10 p.m., at the intersection of Krick and 13th streets. An auto driven by Ronald Lee Baker, 19, route 1, Decatur, was struck in the rear by a car driven by Gordon Burdett Black, Jr., 24, route 2, Decatur, as Baker slowed to make a turn onto Krick St. Both vehicles were southbound on 13th street and Black was unable to stop on the wet pavement. ? Miss Judy Cook, 1009 Winchester St., a passenger in the Baker car, suffered pulled neck muscles in the accident. Damages were estimated at $250 to the Black car and $125 to the Baker vehicle.
