Some entries have already been received for the contest to crown the queen of the flapper era. Those wishing to enter have only one week remaining in which to enter, as the deadline for sentries is Wednesday, July 3. Prizes for the winning contestant and other entrants in the contest are to be announced later, as are the judges for the affair. Entries should be sent to Mrs. Warthman at the Commercial Print Shop in Decatur, and each girl entering will be sent a special form to complete her application in the contest. Good Turnout “We are hoping for an even better turnout for this year’s contest than we had last year,” Mrs. Warthman said. “With the numerous prizes and cash awards to be given this year, any girl who is able to secure clothing from the 1920 era should be interested in competing.” The contestants will be judged on a point system as follows: clothes must definitely be from the 1920 era; they must be original and not made for the occasion; how complete the outfit is will be considered; hair styling and jewelry will also count points; the girl’s clothing and herself must be neat, and they will also be given points on grace and poise. Mrs. Warthman stressed that beauty will in no way enter into the judging*
