Majorki Holds Special Meeting Luke Majorki, PGA pro and owner of the local golf cuorse, met with 8 of the 10 league captains at a special meeting Thursday evening at Villa Lanes, and discussed plans and problems concerning the league. Topics discussed included a ruling on rain dates. It was the mapority consensus of opinion that all rain-out matches will be played on Thursday of the same week. Teams may tee-off any time between noon and 5:30 p.m. on that day. Any foursome not in, will constitue a rain-out. And all matches will then be played over. In the event that teams cannot get togeather on the rain-out date, it will be considered a forfeiture. Deadline time for league matches has been moved up to 5:30 p.m. instead of the original 5:45 p.m. that has been used. Another ruling beginning Monday ' will be that any ball that lands on a tree will be redropped (without penalty) behind the tee, and not nearer the hole, before the shot is completed. It was also ruled that all foursomes will play by the governed set of summer rules in effect and WILL NOT make up their own rulings during a match. All of the above rulings go into effect Monday, June 17. All team captains are urged to inform their teams of the new rulings immediately.
