The St. Mary’s Catholic church was the scene of a single ring wedding ceremony this morning at 10 o'clock. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Simeon Schmitt read the vows to join together in holy wedlock Miss Joanne Loshe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Loshe, route 4, Decatur and Gary Fawcett, 418 Johns street, Decatur. Miss Rita Spence, organist, provided the music., The. altar was decorated -■with two large vases of beauty £ ru—w "wi hik - gladioluses. and blue majestic daisies. Given in marriage by her father, the bride appeared in a gown of imported chantilly lace and pure silk organza. ered to points over her hands. Lace appliques detailed the full organza skirt, accented in the back with an organza bow centered with a rose, and sweeping into a chapel length train. The bride carried a cascade arrangement of white sweetheart roses with light blue ribbon streamers. Her fingertip-length veil of imported french illusion was caught tp a crown of lace seed pearls and crystals. For her sister’s wedding, the maid of honor, Miss Mary Alice Loshe, chose a street length gown of light blue acetate with a full overskirt of nylon and a scoop neckline. The dress was topped with a matching jacket that buttoned in the back and had elbowlength sleeves. The headdress consisted of a matching lace whimsie that held the veil and was topped with lace petals. Miss Loshe carried white carnations tipped with blue. The other attendant was Miss Barbara Fawcett, who was dressed identical to the honor attendant. For her daughter’s wedding Mrs. Loshe appeared in a medium blue sheath dress with white accessories and a white carnation with blue ribbons. Mrs. Fawcett, mother of the groom, selected a navy blue dress with white accessories and a corsage 'identical to Mrs. Loshe’s. Jerry Rambo served as best man, with Ed Loshe and Don Fawcett serving as ushers. A dinner party for the bridal party and the immediate families was held at the Moose. A reception for approximately 150 guests will be held at the Moose from 2 to 5 p.m. The bride’s color theme of blue and white will be carried out in the decorations throughout. Those serving at the reception will be Mrs. Richard Hockemeyer and the Misses Gloria Voglewede, Ann Omlor, Susan Keller, with Joan Lengerich and Carol Cauble registering the gifts. Mrs.

TO OBSERVE 40th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY 1 Mr. and Mrs. Jack L. Brasher win observe their 40th wedding anniversary at open house, Sunday, June 23, from 2-4 p. m. at their heme in Willshire. Mrs. Brashejr is the daughter of Jess Ross and th? late Alice Ross. The couple were married by the Rev. J. H. Potter in the Methodist parsonage in Fort Wayne, June 23, 1923, and are the parents of three children, Delores, deceased, Bobby of Decatur and Mrs. Richard (Bonnie) Beverly of Wabash, and four grandchildren. Mr. Brasher has spent most of his life in the plumbing, heating and sheet metal business. The Olive Rebekah Lodge met Tuesday at the Red Men’s Hall with 19 members present. The district deputy president, Edith Kimmerichouse from Liberty Center had inspection. Degree work was given to Mrs. Edna Callow and Mrs. Betty Stetler by the home team. Refreshments were served by Mrs. Olive Solomon, Mrs. Georgia Kreigh and Mrs. Letha Leanards. MUSICAL THEME USED AT MEETING The Decatur B. P. W. club met Wednesday evening for a dinner meeting at the Comunity Center. A musical theme was carried out for the evening’s meeting. The tables were ‘ attractively decorated with garden flowers, musical figurines and pink and silver umbrella nut cups. Hostesses for the evening were the 1963-64 officers. Special numbers by the Elks barber shop quartet entertained the club. Dorothy Thompson will edit the club bulletin for the coming year. Carolyn Steele read the report from the auditing committee. New chairmen for the coming year win be Vera Van Buskirk, civic participation; Maxine Ford, world affairs; Mary Spangler, finance; legislation, Roesmary Spangler; Lucile Beavers, personal development; Clara Hitchcock, membership, and Betty Bucher, public relations. Miss Shimizer graduated from Taylor University June 8. Births ' At the Adams county memorial hospital: Darvon and Sharon Nern Light, of 209 Grant street, are the parents of a baby girl born at 2:30 p.m., -Friday and weighing 5 pounds 15% ounces. 11 Black Muslims Convicted Friday LOS ANGELES (UPI) — A Superior Court Jury which had deliberated for 18 days returned a ‘guilty verdict Friday night i against 11 of 14 black Muslims for participating in a riot April 27, 1962, outside the temple of the militant Negro sect. Two men were cleared of all charges, including the principal defendant—the Rev. John Morris, pastor of the temple. A mistrial was declared in the case of a third man. ” About 100 persons had participated in the riot, in which one cultist was kiUed and about a dozen black Muslmims and police were injured. The all-white jury found the defendants guilty of charges ranging from interference with police '■officers to assault on officers. Four who had been convicted last Monday heard their verdicts read ' again. AU those convicted were direct•ed to return for sentencing July 16. Defense attorneys said they would appeal. , Hie 18-day deliberation was the longest in the hisory of Los Angeles County, surpassing the second murder trial of Dr; Bernard Finch and Carole Tregoff, in which the panel emerged deadlocked after 17 days of deliberations. Jackson, 35, Chattanooga, Tenn., and Roy Delbert Cook, 33, Muncie, escaped May 16. They were working here as heavy duty operators at the time of their arrest, the FBI 'said. Bloomington Man Is Indicted For Murder BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (UPI) — Will Manse, 82, Bloomington, was indicted on a second-degree murder charge Friday in the shooting of his wife, Minnie, 72, last May 21. ' • The indictment was returned by a Monroe County grand jury which heard evidence that the shooting stemmed from an argument between the two over meals and insurance premimums.
