JUNE ROSE TEA PLANS COMPLETE The W. S. C. S. of the First Methodist church has completed plans for the annual June rose tea to be held, at the church Thursday, at 2 p.m. Mrs. Reid Erekson, well known for her dramatic reading presentations, will give a reading of one of the recent Broadway musicals. Besides her dramatic ability, Mrs. Erekson will be recognized for helping her husband in the directing of the J.C’s production of “Music Man" earlier this spring. The public is invited to attend and tickets may be obtained from members of the W.S.C.S. or at the door. The past presidents parley of the American Legion Auxiliary will meet at the Legion home tonight at 8 o’clock. The Walter reunion will be held at the Wells county state park Sunday after 10 a.m. Bring a well filled basket and own table service. Wedding music was presented by Herbert Nuechterlein, organist, the Emmanuel senior choir, and Mrs. Herbert Nuechterlein was the soloist. Tbe altar was graced with vases of white gladiolius and yellow fugi chrysanthemums. Lighted tapers and white pew bows lined the aisle for the candlelit ceremony. The bride, given in marriage by her father, selected a gown of ivory imported Alencon lace and silk faced peau. The Alencon lace bodice, touched with seed pearls, was fashioned with a scalloped scoop neckline and short lace sleeves. A scalloped panel of lace banded the waistline. The flat front peau skirt, with back fullness, swept into a full chapel length train. Her bouffant fingertip length veil of imported ivory French illusion was caught to a crown of Alencon lace, seed pearls and crystals. The bride carried a cascade arrangement of the traditional white fugi chrysanthemums and yellow roses. Miss Barbara Carr, Decatur, was the’ maid of honor. The bridesmaid was Miss Margery Fenner, sister of the groom, and the junior bridesmaid was Miss Rebecca Schroeder, niece of the bride. The attendants wore identical gowns of fern green pure silk organza. The fitted bodice was fashioned with a draped cowl neckline. The controlled ballerina length skirt was detailed with a redingote effect in the back with a flat waistline bow. They wore fern green petal half hats with bouffant veils and carried cascade arrangements of very pale yellow fugi chrysanthemums. ’ Carl Fenner, the groom’s brother, was best man. Ushers were Walter Fenner, brother of the groom, of Cincinnati: Maurice Heckman, the bride’s brother of Fort Wayne; Theodore Campbell, of Huntington, and Richard Wright of South Whitley. The bride’s mother chose a sheath dress, styled with a beige silk skirt and acocoa, silk chiffonbodice. She wore beige accessories and a corsage of green striped cypripedium orchids. The groom’s’ mother wore an almond green silk organza dress with a white flowered hat and white accessories. Her coreage was of w'ine cypripedium orchids. Immediately following the ceremony, a reception for 350 guests was held at Cutter’s Chalet. Serving were the Mesdames Ralph Ewell, Roger Heller, Al Hermann, all of Decatur; Don Weaver, Ohio City; Virgil Woebbeking, Woodbum; and Marvin Hockemeyei 1 , Warsaw. Assisting with thel gifts were Mesdames Alton Chrisfianer, Frank Fuelling, both of, Fort Wayne; and Miss Marilyn Hermann, Cleveland, Ohio. For traveling to Northern Michigan and Mackinac Island for a one-week honeymoon, the bride Was wearing a pink and white linen dress, with champaigne colored accessories. The bride, whq is a graduate of Monmouth high school, is employed in the personnel office of the Indiana & Michigan Electric company in Fort Wayne. The groom, a graduate of Concordia Lutheran high school .received his commission in the U. S. Army R. O. T. C.

Miss Cheryl K. Ashbaucher became the bride of David W. Meyers in a wedding ceremony at the Zion Lutheran church Saturday at 6:30 p.m. Officiating was the Rev. Richard Ludwig. Wedding music was provided by Mrs. Hubert Hoile, organist, who played such selections as “O, Perfect Love,” “Jesus, Joy of Man's Desiring,” and “Traditional Wedding March from Lohengrin” played on the altar chimes. The church was decorated with standing floral arrange ments and candelabras with white candles and a white carpet gracing the aisle leading to the latar. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs." Robert Ashbaucher, 229 Oakridge, Decatur, and Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Meyers, Veedersburg. Given in marriage by her father the bride appeared in a gown of imported alencon lace and pure silk organza. The fitted bodice was fashioned with scalloped alencon lace, touched with seed pearls and forming the scooped neckline. Garlands of alencon lace detailed the organza skirt and swept into a chapel length train. The bridal bouquet consisted of pink rapture roses with ivy streamers. Her bouffant waist length veil of French illusion was caught to a pillbox of alencon lace and adorned with seed pearls. The maid of honor, Miss Jane Wesner, selected a gown of white organdy, embroidered with pink and white flowerettes. The fitted bodice was a bateau neckline. Both the short sleeves and the bellshaped balerina-length skirt were banded with the flowerettes. The headdress was fashioned of white netting caught by a circlette of organza accented with a flowerette. Miss Wesner carried a sphere shaped arangement of pink sweetheart roses and white carnations with green velvet leaves and pink velvet streamers. The other attendants, dressed identical to the honor attendant, were Miss Pa me 1 a Tweddale, Miss Linda Doseler, and Miss Sandra Hoile, with Miss Janice SchamerloH as junior bridesmaid. For her daughter’s wedding Mrs. Ashbaucher choose a sheath dress of willow green pure silk organza detailed with embroidered peplum* effect and a consage of white cymbidium orchids. Mrs. Meyers selected a full skirted dress of silk georgette with a white cymbidium corsage. Charles W. Meyers served as best man wiih Thomas Rocks, Kurt Bloom, Peter Wright, and Dan Gordon seating the guests. Immediately following the ceremony a reception was held in the American Legion home for approximately 200 guests. The serving table was covered with white linen and centered with a 6-tiered pale pink cake decorated with white roses. Those serving at the reception included Mrs. Harry Hebble, Mrs. James Moses, Mrs. Pat Nelson, Miss Linda Dresbach, Miss Suzanne Forkner, and Mrs. Charles Meyers, with Miss Judy Rhodes registering the gifts. ' , For their honeymoon trip to Floriat a ceremony held at Purdue University, June 1, and will report for active duty in September. He is presently employed by Hobby House restaurants in Fort Wayne. Upon their return, the couple wil reside at 1218 Scott Avenue, Fort Wayne.

The bride is a recent graduate of Indiana University and will be employed at the Indiana University Medical Center. Meyers is a graduate of Hanover College and will continue his schooling at Indiana University school of dentistry. Following the honeymoon the couple will be at home at Georgetown Village Courts, Indianapolis. *

MARY FRANCES BECKMAN HONORED AT PARTY Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Frauhiger entertained with a buffet luncheon at the home at 310 North 9th Street honoring thr-ir daughter, Mary Frances Beckman, who graduated from Decatur Catholic high school, Friday evening. The graduation theme was carried out throughout the house. The luncheon table was covered with a table cloth and matching napkins and centered with a large cake that was topped by an ornamental graduate surrounded by 34 graduating decales tepresenting each one of the graduating class.
