The Church Invites You There is somethin# about the church that totalitarian dictatorships do not like. They try to curb and repress it, they imprison its priests and ministers, they circumscribe its work or utterly destroy it. To them, the church stands for something they do not stand for— the sacredness of human personality. It believes something they do not believe — the purpose of the living God for all mankind. It is something they are not — an international fellowship of every tongue, tribe, people, and nation. It contradicts them at every point. The maintenance of the church’s faith, ministry and fellowship is not unimportant or the Communists would not be so anxious to destroy it. Freedom of worship is a priceless treasure wheih we can easily take for granted. WHY NOT ACCEPT THE INVITATION AND COME TO CHURCH NEXT SUNDAY? A HAPPY HOME One of the most important things a parent can do is to instill faith in their children so they will not feel afraid or insecure. By portraying God as a kind heavenly Father who cares for everyone, a child will develop a simple faith which makes him feel secure whatever the circumstances. The story is told of a mother and her little four-year-old daughter who were preparing to go to bed. The child was afraid of the dark and the mother, alone with the child, felt fearful also since they were away from home in a strange place. When the light was out, the child caught a glimpse of the moon outside the window and asked her mother, “Is the moon God’s light?” Her mother answered ,“Yes, God’s lights are always shining.” Her next question was, “Will God blow out his lights and go to sleep?” To which the mother replied, “No, my child, God never goes to sleep." The little girl relaxed, smiled and said, “Well, so long as God is awake, I’m not afraid so I can go to sleep now.” DO YOU KNOW ANSWERED 1. Psalm 102. 2. Psalm 137. 3. Jeremiah. 4. Psalm 3. 5.
