In a candle light ceremony at 6 o'clock Saturday evening in the Church of God, Mis? Helen Kay Bollinger became the bride of Phillip Gene Adams. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Huston Bever, Jr., the pastor, before an altar banked with baskets of gladioli. The brides parents are Mr. and Mrs. Arlie Bollinger, 928 Dierkes street, and she is their youngest daughter. The groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Paulus Adams, 9:30 East Cook road, Fort Wayne. Miss Wanda Neuenschwander, vocalist, sang “Because,” “I Love You Truly" and “The Lord’s Prayer,” accompanied by Larry Meriman at the organ. When the bride walked down the white carpeted aisle on the arm of her father, she wore a gown of silk organza and Alencon lace over snow white .taffeta. The molded bodice featured a scoop neckline and her sleeves ended just below the elbows. The re-embroidered lace etched with pearl applique, featured the bodice trim and full front from which the circular train swept in unpressed pleats to chapel length. She carried a white Bible crowned with an orchid. A full cabbage rose of silk organza and pearls held her waist length veil of imported silk illusion. Miss Rosalie Ann Kesler, Fort Wayne, a friend of the bride, was her honor attendant. Her street length gown was of peppermint green organza over taffeta. The

bodice featured a scoop neckline and elbow sleeves. A rose with hem length streamers added back interest to the belle shaped skirt. Her bouffant veil was caught to a matching organza bow highlighted by small berries. She carried a May basket of yellow carnations. Two nieces of the bride, Miss Karla Lee Meyer and Miss Evelyn Dale Snyder, both of Decatur, were chosen as the bridesmaids. They wore identical ensembles as the maid of honor in nile green, and their veils in nile green. They also carried May baskets of yellow carnations. The bride’s mother chose a dress in pink and her accessories were bone color for her daughter’s wedding and she wore a corsage of white carnations. The mother of the groom selected a dress in baige with bone accessories and she also wore a white carnation corsage. Mark Jordan, Fort Wayne, was the best man and seating the guests were Jay Adams, brother of the groom, Waldo Snyder, nephew of the bride, Robert Shugert and Greg DeLong, both friends of the groom. Following the evening wedding, a reception was held for 250 guests in the church fellowship hall. Serving the guests were Misses Deloris Adams, Betty Adams, Peggy Adams, Sandra Adams, all of Fort Wayne, and Miss Phyllis Singleton of Decatur. Mrs. Hershel White, who baked the wedding cake, was asked by the bride to cut the cake. For her wedding trip of undisclosed destination, the new Mrs. Mrs. Adams was wearing a turquoise suit with white accessories and the orchid from her Bible. The bride is a graduate of Decatur high school and is employed at the Lincoln National Life insurance company in Fort Wayne. Adams graduated from the North Side high school and is employed at Cary’s Standard service station in Fort Wayne. The Adams will make their home at 1905 Emerson street in Fort Wayne, upon returning from their wedding trip.
