Finishing his third year as basketball, baseball, track and junior high coach at Pleasant Mills, King will teach social studies at Cromwell, which has a high school enrollment of approximately 135 students. King reports that the Cromwell club will have three out of its five starters back next year from this past season, including a 6-4 center. Actually the change in teams will be only in personnel, as the Cromwell nickname is Spartans and. the school colors are black and white, identical to Pleasant Mills. Three Years While at Pleasant Mills, King’s teams posted a 20-38 record in three years, which is quite misleading. Inheriting a weak squad in his first season. King won onlyone of 19 games. His second year, however, the team posted an 8-11 record, and this past season the Spartans fin-

I am completing my eighth year as one of your city councilmen, and during this time have become aware of the many large and small problems, which must be solved, if Decatur is to progress. My only promise if selected as your Mayor is that I will continue to give the same careful and personal attention to your municipal affairs that I give to my own business.
