Her gown of silk mist taffeta and chantilly-type lace was fashioned with a basque bodice of lace, featuring a jewelled, sabrina neckline and long lace sleeves, tapering to points over her wrists. The very full skirt was fashioned with a taffeta overskirt caught at front with a cabbage rose over a lacfe ruffle. The lace-edged overskirt swept to a chapel train. She carried a cascade bouquet of white carnations and pink sweetheart roses. ‘ Jars, jewel Duke served as her sister's matron of honor, and bridesmaids were Mrs. Jerry Klinschirt, Mrs. Larry Spicth and Mrs. Carol Kleeberg. The honor attendant was gowned in a street-length dress of maize silk brocade. The molded bodice featured a scoop neckline and short sleeves. The The controlled skirt of unpressed pleats was fashioned with a bow bustie effect and an inverted pleat. Her headpiece was of pure silk illusion. The bridesmaids’ costumes were identical to that of the matron of honor in colors of blue, orchid and nile green. The attendants carried bouquets of carnations in colors to match their dress. Kahlert is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernhard Kahlert of Altena, West Germany. Miss Gase, a graduate of Decatur Catholic high school and Fort Wayne Commercial college, is employed by the Fort Wayne National Bank. Her fiance is an employe of the International Harvester company. The wedding will take place April 27 in the St. Mary’s Catholic church.

She had the role of “Bessie,” which was one of - the two leading solo parts in the operetta. 1 Miss Mary Helen Schwaller, " Monroe, a student nurse at St. Joseph’s hospital, Fort Wayne, suffered a fractured leg January 5. She was returned to her home from the hospital February 25, but will be in a body cast for at least another six weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Thurman Drew left Monday for a two-week trip to Arizona. tT . < Births At the Adams county memorial hospital: A baby girl was born at 6:25 p.m. Thursday, to Delhi and Marilyn Reinking Franke, route 2, Ossian. The baby weighed 8 pounds and 4 ounces. Saturday at 10:13 a.m., Ben and Margaret Wangard Eicher, route 6, became the parents of a baby girl, weighing 7 pounds and 15% ounces. John and Joyce Daniels McAhren, Huntington, are the parents of a baby girl, weighing 6 pounds and 15 ounces, and born Saturday at 10:41 a.m. At 8:52 a.m. Sunday, a baby boy, weighing 6 pounds and 15 ounces, was born to Don and Aileen Kelley Terry, 734Jjfigh St. A baby girl was born to James E. and Judy Royer Corah, 42* North Fifth St., Sunday at 7:15 a.m. The baby weighed 5 pounds and 13 ounces.

Mrs. Robert Workinger will be the program leader. Two Autos Collide Here Early Sunday A two-car accident which occurred at 2:36 a.m. Sunday in the 200 block of N. Second street was the only city mishap over the weekend investigated by the city police. Tom Ellis Imel, 25, 124 S. Eleventh St., was southbound on Second St. and his car was struck on the left front by an auto driven by Esquie Guereco, 40, 721 N. Eleventh St. Guereco had pulled out of a parking lot and both cars were unable to stop on the icy street to avoid the collision. Damages were estimated at $l5O to the Imel car and $75 to the auto operated by Guereco.

David W. Hartung Dies At Fort Wayne David W. Hartung, 77, of 1005 Portola, Fort Wayne, died Saturday afternoon in Parkview memorial hospital, where he had been a patient more than three weeks. He was born in Adams county but had lived in Allen county 50 years. He was a retired construction worker. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Louis Burns of Fort Wayne: four grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the E. Harper & Son funeral home in New Haven. Burial will be in Prairie Grove cemetery. Jay County REMC Meets March 22 The annual meeting for members of the REMC of Jay county will be held in the Berne-French high school gymnar.-m Friday, March 22. Committee, officer and director reports will be given and three directors will be elected. Candidates for directors for a threeyear term from district 10 are Lewellyn Lehman, route 1, Berne, and Harold Moser, route 4, Decatur. Father-Son Banquet At Monroe Wednesday The annual father and son banquet of the Monroe Methodist church will be held Wednesday at 6:30 P.M., in fellowship hall of the church.
