Wrestlers To Launch Home Card Tonight Parents will be honored this evening as the Decatur high school wrestling team opens its home season in the school gymnasium at 7:30 p.m. The Booster club will sponsor ‘‘Parents Night,” with parents of the wrestlers seated in a special section and introduced before the match begins. Coach Gary Giessler’s team will open its home schedule at 7:30 o’clock when they play host to Manchester. 25c Admission Admission to the meet is 25 cents per person, and it is hoped a large crowd will attend. Parents of those wrestling this evening will be introduced prior to the start of the match. The Decatur squad will be looking for its second victory of the season this evening, against a Manchester team that is in its first year in the sport. After a convincing 36-16 victory at Noblesville to open the season, the Decatur squad was edged out by New Haven 25-23 last week. One Regular Out Gicssler will have one regular out of action this evening, junior Larry Reinking, who has been battling the flu. Reinking had won both of his first two matches by pinning his opponents. While Manchester is undertaking the sport this year, Decatur is only in its second season, but the local team has shown tremendous improvement in only one season. After winning only one match last season, the Decatur squad is expected to improve on its 1-1 mark this season. Hockey Results National League Chicago 3, Boston 2. By United Press International Loyola of Chicago seems intent on wiping out all of college basketball’s team scoring records. The Ramblers continued their amazing assault on enemy baskets Wednesday night by overwhelming Indiana, 106-94, at Bloomington, Ind. It marked the sixth time in as many games that third-ranked Ixjyola has gone over the 100-pqiat mark, during which spell/tfie team has averaged 111 points Mississippi State, rhnked fifth in this week’s United Press International ratings, also joined the centuryxglub Wednesday night with a 106-Tk^romp/over Christian Brothers. Loyola, up against its toughest test of the season thus far, fell behind by as much as 11 points in the first half against Indiana and left the court at intermission trailing 44-42. Partisan Crowd Disappointed But with both their unbeaten record and 100-point streak in jeopardy, the Ramblers disappointed a partisan Indiana crowd by rolling to a 15-point lead in the closing minutes of the game. The Hoosiers were unable to control Loyola’s effective fast break and couldn’t' present a serious challenge once the visitors had stormed in front.’ Five players scored in double figures for Loyola, led by Les Hunter with 27 points and Jerry Harkness with 24. Indiana was paced by Tom Bolyard and Jimmy Rayl, with 27 and 26 points respectively.,. Mississippi State, upset earlier in the week by Virginia Tech, enjoyed a breather against Christian Brothers to increase its season’s' mark ‘to 6-1. Joe Dan Gold scored 22 points for the Bulldogs. Al Cash led the losers with 18 points. Undefeated Princeton, ranked 20th nationally, registered its sixth triumph by routing Rutgers, 8469. Sophomore standout Bill Bradley scored 25 points for the Tigers although he sat out a good part of the second half with four personal fouls. Wisconsin Controls Boards Wisconsin, controlling both backboards, built up a 22-point margin and then coasted to a 7658 victory over Marquette. Jack Brens of Wisconsin led all scorers with,,22 points. Sophomore center Bill Buntin tallied 26 points and pulled down 12 rebounds to lead Michigan to a 66-52 decision over San Jose State and boost the Wolverine record to 5-1.

Sonny Liston Is Slated For Bout In March PHILADELPHIA (UPI) — Negotiations for the “battle of champions” between heavyweight Sonny Liston and light heavyweight Harold Johnson were progressing rapidly today. Jack Nilon, Liston’s wealthy advisor, disclosed that the proposed date and site are Monday, March 18, at Baltimore’s new civic auditorium. Pat Olivieri, manager of Philadelphia’s Johnson, said, “Harold could weigh about 185 pounds for the Liston fight—and be at peak speed and strength. That’s only four pounds less than Floyd Patterson weighed in September.” Patterson of Yonkers, N.Y., lost the world heavyweight crown to Liston of Chicago at Chicago’s Comiskey Park on a first-round knockout, Sept. 25. Patterson and Liston had a return title-bout contract, providing for Floyd to pick the site, date and promoter. “But that contract has been broken in at least a dozen places,” advisor Nilon charged today. “Sonny hasn’t been paid for the Patterson fight yet. Besides the government is suing Championship Sports, the promoters, for taxes and charging them with using a stooge corporation for theater television, and so on.” Nilon denied vigorously the persistent report that Liston will defend against Patterson at Las Vegas, <Nev., in April. He admitted however, that officials of Championship Sports had informed him at a New York

meeting last Monday that Patterson wanted the return bout to be staged at the Las Vegas Convention Center under Championship Sports promotion. “I told them there would be no fight under Championship Sports,” Nilon said, “and there would be no return bout with Patterson until we are ready — because Sonny hasn’t been paid yet for the first Patterson fight.” Tittle On Sidelines As Giants Practice NEW YORK (UPI) — Quarterback Y.
