Mother Os Federal Judge Holder Dies INDIANAPOLIS (UPI) — Mrs. Martha F. Holder, 82, mother of Federal Judge Cale J. Holder of Indianapolis, died Thursday in St. Francis Hosiptal at nearby Beech Grove.

speaker for the affair, Charles Kent, chairman of the program committee, announced. The affair will begin at 6:30 p. m. Monday, and will be held in the fellowship hall of the Trinity E. U. B. church on Ninth street. The men’s club is an organization of the Bethany and Trinity E. U. B. churches, the congregations of which recently merged. Kent said this morning that any members of the club who are not contacted by Sunday, should contact Tom Cole for reservations for themselves and their guest, if they are bringing one. Known throughout the state of Indiana, and in hockey circles in many other states, this is believed to be the first such guest appearance for Long in Decatur. All-Time Scorer The International Hockey league’s all-time leading scorer,' Long, known as “Steady Eddie,” and “Old Reliable,” is the o most popular player to ever don a Fort Wayne hockey uniform. A member of the original Komets, Long is a 29-year-old veteran with. the “club,. in- its . eleventh sea son in the International Hockey League. Long started his career with the first Komet team in the 1952-53 season, and has'been with the club every season since. All-Star Wing An all-star winger in the IHL last season, Long was born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, and he and his wife and four children make their permanent home in Fort Wayne. He works in the off season for Aalco Distributing Comoany, Inc. Prior to the start of this season, he had plaved in 651 games, scoring 351 goals and 333 assists for a total of 684 points, or a terrific average of 1,05 points per game. He had scored 12 goals in the 15 Komet fames this season, and is the club’s leading goal scorer and in the too ten scorers in the league thus far. Lister, the popular business manager of the K’s, will orcsent the main talk, and is well versed in the sport of hockey. It is expected that Long and Lister will bring with them hockey equipment to show to those present Monday. Long will conduct a question and answer period following the talk by Lister. $32 Million Truck Pact To Studebaker SOUTH BEND, Ind. (UP) -it The Army Thursday awarded a $32 million truck contract to the automotive division of Studebaker Corp. here. The contract, which means Studebaker will be building trucks for the Army through 1963, calls for toe firm to supply 4,192 heavy duty military trucks to the Armr Material Command. Overheated Washer Brings Out Firemen The fire department was summoned to the Miller Motel, 630 N. 13th St., at 1:15 o'clock this afternoon, when a washing machine became overheated. The machine was “cooled" down by the fire department, and no damage resulted. One Driver Charged Following Accident Two vehicles were damaged, one heavily, in a two-car accident at 2:48 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Jefferson and Third streets. Mary Ann Inskeep, 35, 1127 W. Monroe St., was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way, after her auto struck an auto operated by Gene Moser, 32, 804 N. Second St. She was traveling south on Third St., and told investigating officers that she had stopped for the stop sign, before pulling into the intersection and striking the westbound Moser car on the right side. The force of the impact caused the Moser car to strike a lamp post an the southwest corner of the intersection. Damages were estimated at S6OO to the Moser vehicle and $174 to the Inskeep car, in addition to $45 damage to the lamp post.

Some Os Toll Road Bonds Are Redeemed INDIANAPOLIS (UPI) — For the second time in a month, the Indiana Toll Road Commission redemmed some of its bonds Thursday out of earnings from the road across northern Indiana. General Manager Robert Tillett said the commission paid $928,581.46 for the bonds which had a face value of $1.6 million. The first bonds purchased out of earnings were redeemed Nov. 8.
