Miss Beverly Joan Myers was married Saturday at 5:30 p.m., to James Roger Gaunt. The Bethal Brethren church, Berne, was decorated with beauty vases of giant mums and two seven-branched candelabra for the occasion. The Rev. Kenneth Russell heard the double-ring vows and the organ music was provided by Mrs. Albert Agler. “Because,” “I Love you Truly,” and “The Lord’s Prayer,” were sung by Mrs. Kenneth Russell, Mr. and Mrs. James M. Meyers, route 6, are the parents of the bride. The groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Gaunt of route 5. Given in marriage by her father, the bride appeared in a gown of white chantilly lace and pleated tulle. The basque bodice was fashioned with a sabrina neckline and long sleeves, tapered to points over her wrists. The bouffant skirt was of chantilly lace and pleated tulle tiers and featured a sweeping chapel-length train. Her veil of silk illusion was bouffant and held to a double crown of pearls, accented f with crystals. She carried a cascade bouquet of snowsong roses, accented with sanderiana and salal foliage . was the bride’s maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Darlene Smitley, Miss Bernice Yager and Miss Karen Foor. Die honor attendant wore a street-length dress of opera green chromespun taffeta. The fitted bodice was styled with a scoop neckline and brief sleeves. Unpressed pleats formed the back fullness in the sheath styled skirt, and a fold-over bow highlighted the back of the waist. Her bouffant veil was caught to matching taffeta petal clusters, and her bouquet was a cascade of golden stardust pompons. The bridesmaids were dressed in indentically-styled costumes of sunshine gold, and their. bouquets Were of bronze delight pompons. Bill Gaunt was his brother’s best man and Tom Gaunt, brother of the groom; Roger Braun and John Gribler, groom’s brother-in-law, were ushers. Mrs. Myers wore a brown matte jersey dress with beige accessories and a corsage of snowsong roses. A royal blue dress-suit was worn by Mrs. Gaunt with black accessories and a snowsong rose corsage. A reception was held at 7 p.m. in the Decatur Community center. The rooms were decorated in green and gold; the serving table

The bride is a graduate of Pleasant Mills high school and is a student at Fort Wayne Commercial College. The groom is a graduate of Decatur high school and is employed by Phelps Dodge in Fort Wayne.

Wedding vows were repeated by Miss Annette Lee De Wert and Gary Lee Witte at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the Monroeville Methodist church. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Joyce Lenington and the late William DeWert of Monroeville, and the groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. L .G. Witte, Monroeville. Palms and beauty vases of white chrysanthemums and gold leaves banked the altar of the church. The aisle was carpeted with white and white bows with gold-tone roses marked the pews. There were bouquets of white chrysanthe mums and gold flowers. Miss Susan Trentadue presented two organ solos, “I Love Thee Truly” and “The Lord’s Prayer,” as well as. traditional wedding music. Die Rev. Walter Meacham performed the double-ring ceremony. The bride appered in a Victorian gown of white peau de soie satin. The basque bodice, front and back? its scoop neckline and the long, tapered sleeves were embroidered with a baroque pattern of chalk and crystal beads accented with pearls. A chapel-length train flowed gracefully from the deep folds and draping of the skirt’s back. Heirloom pearls graced the bride’s neck. Her triple-tiered veil of imported illusion was caught to a double, miniature flower crown of tiny pearls and imported crystal rondels. She carried a Bible centered with white roses and stephanotis with streamers of ivy and white ribbons. Mrs. Frances Lare attended her sister as matron of honor. She was attired in a gold gown of peau de soie satin fashioned with sheath bodice, scoop neckline, short sleeves and a modified bell-shaped skirt. A matching fabric hat of rounded, pouf fed fabric, centered with a single fabric rose, completed her ensemble. Locals William Johnson, of route one, Monroe, and Mrs. Homer Maloney, of route 3, Decatur were admitted to the Clinic hospital in Bluffton last Friday, and Herman Liechty, of route one, Berne, was dismissed. Mrs. James Kiney of Wayland, Mich., returned to her home Sunday after spending Thanksgiving with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. John Rawlinson. Mr. and Mrs. Lee V. Miller, who are with the army in France and due home the first of December, are the owners of the Colter home in which there was a fire recently. Mr. and Mrs. Watson Maddox, Tom Maddox and Dan Heller attended the Purdue-I. U. game Saturday and visited the Purdue campus. Mr, and Mrs. Joe Kitson are the parents, not the grandparents, of Thomas Kitson of the Air force whose picture was in Saturday’s paper. Mr. and Mrs. J .0. Sellemeyer, former residents of Decatur, now live at 1941 La Veta Ave., Apt. 234, Orange, Calif. The Rev. They were Miss Susan Drew, West Lafayette, in patina green; Miss Patti Myers, Wakarusa, in autumn orange, and Miss Sharon Merica in rust. Their bouquets were like that of the matron of honor. The bride’s mother chose a moss °reen silk shantung suit-dress, for her daughter’s wedding, with matching accessories. Mrs. Witte wore a brocade autumn beige suitdress with beige and brown accessories. Both mothers had corsages of white roses and chrysanthemums. Dave W’tte, the groom’s cousin, stood as best man. Guests were shewn to their seats by Ronald Cowen, M'ke F’kelberry; Arthur DeWert and William DeWert, the bride’s brothers. A wedding buffet was served to the bridal party and family, following the ceremony, in the Decatur Community Center. At 6 p.m. a reception for 200 guests was held in the Community Center which was decorated with crystal candelabra and gold and white flower arrangements. After a wedding trip through the Smoky Mountains and Florida, the couple will make their home at Barkley’s trailer court, 1503 Paulding Road, Fort Wayne. The new Mrs. Witte is a graduate of Monroeville high school and is a senior at Parkview-Methodist school of nursing. The groom is also a graduate of Monroeville high school and Indianapolis Barber’s School; he is presently employed at the Van Orman barber shop.
