Hi-Way Trailer Court News Mrs. Dessie Brown, 69 Bella Casa, had as her dinner guests last Tuesday her son and wife, John and Wanda Brown of Peterson. Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Gerig, and family, 519 S. 13th St., spent Sunday afternoon with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Gerig in Auburn. Mrs. Rilla Amstutz. 13 Krick St., spent Sunday visiting friends in Pandora, Ohio, her old home community. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Bell, Sr., of South Milford, spent Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Sam Bell, Jr., and Lisa, 59 Bella Casa. Mr. and Mrs. Vic Brown, evengelist, have moved to 23 Krick St., while he is conducting services at Kingdom Hall, corner 9th St. and West Monroe, until Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Wallace, Fairmount, are the new residents at 38 Star Lane. Mrs. Earl Gumm, 60 Bella Casa, returned last Saturday after spending ten days with her mother, Mrs. Edith Riddick, in Franklin, who is very ill and underwent surgery Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Millard Purdum and daughter of Muncie, and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Johnson of Silver Lake, were Sunday guests of Mr. aod Mrs. William Moulton, 73 West St. Ext. Chas. Kester, 9 Detroiter Ave., reports that there were 105 in Sunday school at the Assembly of God church last Sunday.

W. Hagan, Decatur district manager, announced. This tax payment represents the second and final installment due on 1961 Indiana real and personal property taxes, he said. I&M’s total real and personal property tax bill in Adams county for 1961 was $92,612.40. The total I&M real and personal property tax bill in 45 Indiana counties for 1961 amounted to $4.071,530, including $2,035,765 paid this week for the fall installment. The largest single I&M tax payment in Indiana was made in St. Joseph county, where the utility paid $1,288,912, including $644,456 on its fall installment. The company’s Twin Branch generating plant is located in St. Joseph county. Allen county ranked second with, total payments for the year of $518,598; Dearborn county followed with a total payment of $366,040: Sullivan county ranked fourth with a payment of $344,470; and I Delaware county, fifth with $271,716. I&M’s total federal, state and local taxes for 1961 were approximately $16,848,236, including about $10,732,500 for federal income taxes. The utility’s over-all tax bill was up $1,209,145 over 1960.
