catur, and district claim agent for the Pennsylvania railroad at Fort Wayne, died unexpectedly in that city. | Modern Etiquette I By Roberta Lee I Q. When a guest in my home persists in telling off-color jokes, what can I do about it? A. If your failure to respond or laugh does not prove enough to stop him, then you have a perfect right to take him aside and tell him outright that his kind of stories are not acceptable in your home. Q. Would it be all right for me to take my three-year-old boy with me to the wedding of a very close friend, if I cannot possibly procure a baby-sitter for him ? A. This would be all right — if you are absolutely sure you can keep him quiet during the ceremony. Q. Am I correct in assuming that the position of “companion” in a family is one of social equality with the employers? A. Yes, you are correct.
