er, Mrs. Eva Leech, Dayton librarian, forwarded the books to Miss Bertha Heller, at the local library. They were not "our” books, however, so Miss Heller forwarded them to Decatur, 111., per instructions. The librarian in Illinois also couldn’t claim ownership, so she sent a circular letter 'to Decatur librarians in Alabama, Georgia, Michigan and Texas. Finally word arrived back: the books belonged in Decatur, Mich. And with the letter came good news —the Decatur public library in Decatur, Mich., has merged with another library, and there will soon be no more Decatur, Mich., books in circulation, as the new library there is named the Webster mem-* roial library.
Health Cpnference Will Open Friday The ninth annual health conference, sponsored by the Indiana association of industrial nurses, will be held at the Hotel Van Orman, Fort Wayne, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Industrial management, physicians, nurses, safety directors and all others interested in industrial health are invited. The conference will open with a buffet supper from 7 to 8:30 p. m. Both Townsend and Soldner are Decatur residents. Twenty-year service awards Were presented by Harold W. McMillen, Central Soya board chairman, to Leland H. Higgins, Fred Wolter and Jaseph W. Seabold, all of Fort Wayne, and Robert McElfresh, Alliance, Ohio. ' - # Dale W. McMillen, Jr., president, gave 15-year awards to Myron Hemmingsen, Indianapolis; John L. Cox, Fort Wayne, and Robert Blanc, Alliance, Ohio. Ten-year awards were presented by Robert B. Parrott, executive vice president, to James Bradley, Bowling Green, Ky.; Dr. W. W. Judge Myers Speaks At Bluffton Saturday Indiana appellate court Judge Walter Myers Jr., Indianapolis, will be the principal speaker before a Wells county Democratic rally Saturday night at the Bluffton community building. A candidate for election to the Indiana supreme court, Judge Myers will be introduced by state senator Von A. Eichhorn, Uniondale, dean of the Indiana Senate. All party candidates are expected at the rally, which will begin at 7:30 p.m.
