noon on Saturdays, beginning Sept. 15. Instructor in the course will be Dr. John W. Kletz of Concordia Senior College, Fort Wayne. A graduate of Concordia Junior College at Mankato, Minn., and ConConcordla Seminary in St. Louis, he holds the Ph D. in biology from the University of Pittsburgh. He taught at Bethany Lutheran College at Mankate, Minn., and Concordia Teachers College at River Forest, DI., prior to his present assignment. He’has contributed articles to “American Biology Teacher” and has been active in conservation organizations. Courses offered through the inservice institute are sponsored by the national science foundation to
help in the improvement of subject - matter competence of junior and senior high school teachers. These courses also may help teachers meet the requirements for a graduate degree. Through the NSF grant, funds may be provided to cover the cost of fees and certain other expenses. Candidates for the NSF program must be junior and senior high school teachers of biology or general science who held a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and have 24 credit hours in biology.
