The pledges were led by Roger Noll and Dick Edgell. Group singing was led by Jim Butler, assisted by Ed Daniels. A slide show on better picture taking was the special feature of the meeting. Roll call was answered by naming a favorite teacher. A demonstration on' handicraft was given by Roger Noll and Allen Mailand. Initiation of the new members was held at the close of the meeting. Refreshments! were then served by Wilford Morrison. The next meeting will be May 15 at 7:30 p.m. at the Pleasant Mills high school. Senior Merry Maids The senior Merry Maids 4-H club of Root township met Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Monmouth school with Marsha Kink presiding. Group singing was led by Debbie Strickler and Kristine Fueling. A “Tiny Tot Style Show” was given for the mothers of the dub members. Cookies and punch were served to the mothers and tots. Elaine Weidler served as chairman of the event. Roll call was answered by naming a “pet peeve.” A talk was given by Miss Folk on "You Became a ’4-H= Parent.” A health and safety report was given by Joye Strouse.
