Max Kidd Fails To File Properly BRAZIL, Ind. (UPD—Max Kidd, head football coach at Rose Polytechnic Institute at Terre Haute, wanted to run for Congress but he failed to qualify. Kidd mailed his declaration of candidacy for the 7th District Democratic nomination to the Indiana secretary of state’s office last Thursday, the deadline day for filing. When his name did not appear in published lists of candidates, Kidd telephoned the Statehouse and was told his letter arrived but the declaration was not properly filled out and could not be accepted. “I might try again in a couple of years,” Kidd said. 15.50. COURT NEWS Case Dismissed A motion to dismiss with prejudice was filed by James J. Saybolt, in the case of Saybolt vs Thomas J. Briede, on a complaint for personal injury and property damage.
