42 Seniors On Certified List For Sectional

Almost 44 per cent of the players certified by the eight Adams county schools for this year’s sectional tourney will be lost to their teams next season due to graduation at the close of the school year next spring. Ot the 96 certified players, 42 are seniors, with the Decatur Yellow Jackets the hardest hit by the graduation route. The Jackets have seven seniors on their certified list, including four of the usual starting five. The defending champion Berne Bears will graduate six, but only two regulars. The Geneva Cardinals will suffer the fewest losses via diplomas, with only four seniors on the sectional squad, while Adams Central, Decatur Catholic, Hartford, Monmouth and Pleasant Mills will each lose five. Three of the Adams Central regulars are seniors, four from the Commodores are usual starters, only one of Hartford’s seniors is a* regular, Monmouth loses only one regular, and Pleasant Mills will lose three. The complete roster of seniors, by schools, follows: Adams Central—Dick Habegger, Bob Heyerly, Roger Dick, Lloyd Knittie, Ron Owens.
