SOCIAL AND BUSINESS MEET BY DELTA THETA TAUGROUF The Delia Theta Tau sorority met at the home of Mra. Leo Teeple reently. Mrs. James Weirton and Mrs. Henry Nelreiter assitsed Mrs. Teeple as hostess. Dessert was served on card tables covered with linen cloths and centered with ’ pottery vases of fall flowers. A short business meeting and the Delta opening and closing ceremonies were held. Plans were completed for the tummage §al« to be held at the C- U of C. hall, Saturday, October T, at 9 a.rp. ■ , ‘ A card session was enjoyed by the members attending and. prizes were awarded id Mrs. Ralph Kenyon for bridge, Mrs. Gene Dryer for pinochle, and Mrs. Leland Smith for canasta. The next meeting will be the founder’s day service, Monday, October 16 at 8 o'clock at the home of Mrs. Robert Krueckeberg, 403 Bollman street. ' ' ■ ■ ■■ • TBI KAPPAS ENJOY A? MILLINERY STYLE SHOW Alpha Sigma chapter of Tri Kappa met Tuesday evening in the C. L. of C. rooms. Eleven resident Inactive Tri ' Kappas were entertained by a millinery style showThese lavish fur, feather,,, and velvet creations were provided by Gass' store. Mrs. William Smail, modeling a tri-color feather hat, described the hats worn by the. models, Mrs.. Dan Mfs. James • Cdwens, Janice Kreischer, Karen Robinson, and Cassie Strickler. During a short business meeting a thank you note from Kenneth Geimer was read. He wag; this year’s recipient of Tri Kappa's annual scholarship award. A delicious dessert was -served by the hostesses, Mrs. -Robert Boch, Mrs; Carl Faurote, Mrs. James Cowens, Mrs. Jack Petrie, and Mrs. HarcjsTAugust. The remainder of the evening was spent in playing crazy bridge. The prizes-were won by Mrs. Dan Cowans and Mrs. William Snyder. The next meeting will be held October 10, at the borne of Mrs. Robert Worthman. _ ADAMS CENTRAL PTA HAS FIRST MEETING MONDAY The Adams Central PTA held their first meeting Monday. President, Eugene Arnold, presided. Devotions were given by the Rev. Robert Welch, secretary's and treasurer's reports were read and appproved. Superintendent Herman Frantz, introduced all the teachers, also Philip' Souder, principal of the Robert Welch. The secretary's and Robert Light, elementary school principal. WOMEN OF MOOSE TOUR TELEVISION STUDIOS Six members of the Women of the Moose veiwed the live telecasts and toured the studios of WKJG-TV, NBC and WANE-TV, CBS, Wednesday afternoon as a publicity special project for the year. Mrs. Norman A. Pyne, publicity chairman, Mrs. Ray Venis, Mrs/ Mel Kreps, Mrs. Irene Weaver, Mrs. Bonnie Merinar, and Mrs. Paul Weaver attended the “News at Noon" and “Farms and Farming" with Wayne Rothgeb and guest Ruth Morris, consumer information agent of WKJG. The ; group appeared on Rothgeb’s show and were served cookies prepared during the program by Ruth Morris. The women visited with John Seimer, Bozo, and Charle Powell; then Rothgeb guided the group on a tour through the control room, film room, sound room, and video tape room. At WANE-TV the women were conducted bn a tour by Doug Shull, promotion and public relations diretor, through their news room, record library, projection room, and control room. They also visited with Bob Hill of “Breakfast in Fort Wayne,” Jack Powell of "Dance Date,” and Vic Sterling, and were presented with tickets to attend the new program “Breakfast in Fort Wanye" October 4. Following lunch, a shopping trip, and a visit to the House of Gifts, the group returned to Decatur. OFFICERS ELECTED FOR SUNNY CIRCLE CLUB The September meeting of the Sunny circle home demonstration club was opened by the president, Mrs. Ralph Mankey, leading the group in the club creed. The history of “Auld T-ang Syne,” song of the month, was given by Mrs. Gehard Heckman and then sung by the group. Nineteen members answered roll call with a funny school experience. Mrs. Richard Schuemann conducted a memorial service for Mrs William Werllng. “Happy Birthday' 1 was sung for Mrs. William Kruetzman and Mrs. Milton Kruetzman.
